How do uber pads compare to Lake country pads? I wanted to try them out and was wondering how they compare? I like how LC has a couple of different wax pads. So I can use different color for different waxes. Is the black uber pad the only wax pad? Or can I use the blue uber for wax also? Thanks Ed
I switched to using ubers a few years ago from LC and they perform great. I still use a LC wool mainly because uber doesn't have a wool offering. To be fair, I wouldn't say they perform vastly better/worse than LC (although I just got some hydrotechs to try out, so we will see if the hype is true). The black uber is the only 'wax' pad, the blue is a finishing pad with a super mild amount of cut.
If you get some Uber pads you won't go back to LCC. I think the uber pads are much softer and becuase i find them easier to clean my have lasted longer.
The Uber pads are excellent. I have them all, the only one I don't like is the orange one. It's just too stiff. But the green one is just about the best pad there is. Very versatile.
Same here, the orange one is the only one that I hesitate to use. Green pad is awesome, moves so smooth and just really easy to maneuver. And I do use both black or blue for liquid waxes. haven't had any issues. I don't think the difference between the two will cause any harm when using waxes.
