Im a phone whore, and I have a serious problem. I honestly get a new phone almost every 6-8 months. Soooo I was playing around with the Atrix at cost co, and man that phone was calling my name. All I can say is its PDQ, its much faster then my Captivate, and my I phone4, and it smokes the blackberry torch all day long. I know its a first duo core, and Samsung will be dropping bigger and better things. But if you are like me and love phones and want a fast device, i recommend it. Camera is Meh, 5.0 MP, but it has a flash and HD video.

anyone else have an atrix? any tips or secrets you wish to share?

How dare you bad mouth the Iphone4..... Just wait until the Iphone5 comes out..... I love phones too but would never bad mouth my Iphone4.... I like the Atrix and looks good. Andriod is giving Apple a run for their money and my 0.02 is that andriod will be ahead of ios in the future. Good luck with it.

Ya I noticed my iPhone 3G seems turtle slow lately, with all the iOS updates it just gets slower and slower. iPhone's are great though, but I would have to agree, other phones right now especially android are blazin'!

iPhone 5 should use the A5 most likely which is dual core I believe.

Atrix its an alright I'm not liking motorola version of android htc sense is better. If you really want android id get an htc Inspire and the inspire has an amazing screen.

If I was on AT&T I would have the Atrix. I'm on T-mobile and have the G2 and love it!

Compared to my Captivate, I did not like the inspire, and I was going for speed this time around.........

How many of you root your phones? I would highly suggest rooting your captivate, installing the cyanogen mod 7 rom and overclock a little bit. Doing all of this will give your phone new life!

I had a mytouch 3G that I rooted and put cyanogen mod 6 on it. I would probably still have it if it wasn't for the lack of it not working on the new HSPA+ network for Tmobile.

I agree with mrgoldrider, I change the rom on my HTC Touch Pro every month, and they just keep making it better and better, little tweaks here and there..it feels like I get a new phone every month, and they told me to my a Iphone 3G, LMAO

I've had cognition on my phone, it made it faster with the voodoo lagfix, but it totally ruined the gps function and I use it daily.

I rooted my captivate, and it was still slow, my issue that I have found is its running tasks in the backround and task killers don't always get all of them, I should not have to individually force close every task or app that im not using, that is where the Iphone4 is nice.

Ive always had blackberries, back when they were mono color, good phones etc. However they sort of dropped off the map when the world when touch screen etc, but I am impressed with some of the Q2 products that Blackberry has coming to market; the new Bold looks promising.

Even the new torch with the faster processor and more ram is appealing to this old bold 9700 user.

Aw man I'm a phone whore too LOL. I think the Atrix is nice, but dual core has no practicality yet. Right now I'm using the Thunderbolt because I didn't want to wait for the Droid Bionic (verizon's atrix). My Thunderbolt is rooted, but I haven't flashed any roms yet mainly because theres no cyanogen ):

I think the captivate is fairly quick without all that touchwiz crap

Bionic has been either cancelled or on hold last I heard......... as for the Atrix practicality, who ever said it had to be practical LOL
If the new Bold is as good as the rumors I will probably pick one up. the physical keyboard and the durability of the BB devices is really good, I still have one of my 6000 series somewhere in a box.

if your running the captivate anything is an upgrade, the captivate is probably my most hated device i owned, between not getting 2.2 while I had it and the gps and the battery dying multiple times a day. If you like motorola and the way the device looks go for the atrix a lot of android guys seem to like it

same here i had problems with cognition my only problem with all the roms i insatlled is that I could never figure out when I was running android and had a captivate was the noise cancelation disappeared when i would rom and everyone I would call would say they could barely hear me. Sometimes I was not able to hear them very well either and had to put it on speaker just to hear them.

Yep, got one on day 1. I've seen some smokin' Android units that are way lighter and a bit bigger, but I have to have a qwerty keyboard. Any phones out there with that that beat the G2 yet?
