well my friends car gona be featured in honda tuning magazine so he asked me to get his car in order. it was completely repainted in summer and body shop didnt do good of a job of finishing the car (they just buffed it after wetsanding as usual). what was done. car was washed, didnt clay couse my friend clayed it lot long ago and i didnt feel any bumps during wash. washed it again with ironx soap gel to make sure all iron is off the car even though there wasnt any on there. taking paint readings was pointless since there are couple coats of coatings on the car and hard to tell which was completely repainted and which was sprayed over. both doors were repainted after they painted and screwed up. used several combos and figured out that SIP worked at first. had to detail car outside so using spot lights didnt do anything. used sun to check on progress. did it over 2 days. Some parts of car needed more attention then others so not everything was done with same polishes. Damage on the car was mostly from improper washing and paint shop not finishing the car properly (in their eyes hitting car with high speed rotary and wool pad is good enough. Car had buffer trails all over) products used Meguiars M105 Menzerna SIP Menzerna 106 Menzerna 85rd Ironx soap gel Sonus full effect wheel cleaner CG Diablo wheel cleaner CG citrus wash clear Zep purple (for tires) IPA/dawn mix Menzerna Powerlock Probably others im forgetting about Not too many pictures. Being car is white and very hard to get before and after pictures and not being in garage to use spot lights effectively but here is couple pics and videos to show before and after Trunk 50/50 hood that’s pretty much all. Not happy that I couldn’t get that many pics but not much you can do.
I would like to know when this is going to be in the magazine. Sent from my HTC Vision using Tapatalk
