Werkstat Prime Strong or Prime Acrylic. Apply by hand or via PC on a white pad. Even after washing and claying, these products will pull enough dirt out of the paint to turn the applicator pad brown and both lay down a base layer of sealant as well. Great for one stepping door jambs. :)

like BFWD topped with Collinite 845. The 845 will take some of the slickness away from the BFWD, the the look on a white car can't be beat. The durability is insane as well.

IMO the 845 will remove all/some/most of the bfwd.

I had an exchange with Pat at Collinite about the solvents in 845 removing previous applied LSPs. He indicated their chemists and staff have never seen 845 remove LSPs nor have they had such reports from any detailers. He brought up an interesting question... if 845 indeed did remove a previously applied LSP how would you know?

What do you guys think about using Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover, then Werkstatt Primer followed by Trigger? Do you think P21S carnauba would be a good LSP or would the Werkstatt system be fine?

    PS. I have a 2007 Alpine White X5

Pre-sealant, pre-wax paint preparation would make the most difference. On a white car, it is much harder to see spider-webbing, swirls, etc, so it is difficult to correct them if you can't see them. However, these almost-invisible swirls affect the reflectivity of your paint. You may need halogen, xenon, or LED detailing lights to see the paint defects.

After you correct the paint to perfection using random-orbital or rotary machine polishers (and appropriate polishes), then you can apply 2-3 layers of protecting sealant, and then apply your layer of "shine" (ie. carnauba wax or a glossy polymer sealant). This would yield maximum reflectivity.

Since you mentioned durability, Zaino products have been tested on other forums and were found to be very durable. I use Zaino products on my personal vehicle (dark blue/black Lexus LS).

105/AG HD + AW after every wash makes my white 2000 GT Mustang paint look and feel great. I still need to learn up on this "pre polishing" stuff....don't quite understand it in all honesty.
