Any hints on how long the intro price will be available?

    Hi Chris,

Could you tell me about Opti-Coat 2 compatibility with ONR? I'm interested if the polymers in ONR will inhibit/replace/modify the beading/sheeting of Opti-Coat.

i do not know the functional groups of ONR and opti-coat so i can't tell you if ONR will attach to opti-coat but if it did, the chemistry will be of the ONR polymer since it will be the surface that interact with surrounding environment.

They play nice. I do mostly ONR washes, but when I do a regular wash the tight beads are still present.

Hi Chris, i've read on Phil's website that has the instruction to apply opti-coat and it states that you cannot layer opti-coat on top of each other. Do you know why?

I might be wrong but i don't think it will bond to its self once the first coat has cured.

Opti Coat is not susceptible to the chemical reaction that takes place when it bonds to your paint. You also cannot paint over it (without removing it or scuffing it) and that is why any wax or sealant you top it with will not last long. You will certainly appreciate that nothing will stick to it when you wash your car after application, as dirt and road grime come off MUCH easier and with much less pressure. You will also need to clay at least half as often that normal. I know you may be thinking "more is better", but with many of the new products we are developing that is simply not true. The hardness and protective qualities Opti Coat achieves in one coat are substantial and do a unsurpassed job protecting from just about everything...excluding rock chips, of course.

Is Opti-coat V2 harder than Cquartz, meaning protective wise. I have Cquartz on my black Mustang GT right now and with my custom covercraft car cover I still got marring even when I placed it right after the wash and the cover was just washed. Also how long does the coating last?
