Hi guys, Bought a bottle of Chemical Guys EZ-Creme Glaze late last year, but never got a chance to use it. Getting ready to do my first wash of the season and was wondering. Do I put EZ-Creme Glaze first, followed by Powerlock or is it in reverse? I think I read here that EZ-Creme Glaze should go first, but then I thought glazes are not very durable, while Powerlock is apparently good for a couple of months... Thank You!
Since a "Glaze" is just that, a temporary coating, you would always want to be able to put something on top of it, to further improve the look and give it more protection. In my experiences with Menzerna Powerlock, it is a great acrylic sealant that is easy to work with, and leaves a nice layer of protection. How long it lasts is too hard to tell, as everyone's preparation, application, weather conditions, etc., are different. Would have to assume that if you layered Powerlock, it would have to give one a little longer time before it goes away. Have also used The EZCreme product, and it works excellent for what it is. Ez-creme glaze has cleaning properties so this would remove a wax/sealant. So only before your LSP... It works great though, you will love it. Leaves a super slick finish.
As others have said earlier the process is EZ-Cream then PowerLock. This was the combo on both of my daily drivers last summer. It gives a nice wet look as well as good gloss.
