Festool Shinex ...Good news

Hello,

I got an email from my contact in Festool; The Shinex should be available for sale on the US late this month. It is set to sell at $400 and they will also offer all the accessories...The shipment is currently inbound from Germany. I will keep everyone posted once I hear more news....

 

Cool beans. Although I'd have to try one before dropping that kind of cash.

 

I just checked it out and has gotten good reviews. I wondering how its going to stack up against the new Flex ...

Just got a word. No Rap 80..they are only offering the Rap 150...

 

The Shinex is a great machine, very smooth and well balanced + not very noisy.

I've had mine for almost a year and love it.

I'm doing a similar comparo atm as I'm ready for a rotary - going to have a play with the shinex at our local distributors shop soon

 

Do you mean festool is bigger than FLex? are you sure with this? coz i heard the other way around

I mean festool produce superior tools

For starters they aren't ear piercing loud

 

How is this machine compared to the new Flex PE rotary?

 

I'm as big a tool whore as they come, but c'mon - 400 bucks for friggin rotary??

 

$400 for a Snap-on impact gun......$120 for a Snap-on ratchet......$300 for Snap-on wrenches.. on and on

you can get Craftsman tools for whole lot less, but it just doesn't feel that good in your hands. Rotary is the same....its how it feels on your hands IMO.

 

Shinex = Flex with some green plastic and Festool sticker :tiptoe:
