Sorry, I was meaning PF, not PG, lol. I know PG is a nice cutting agent. I need to pick up PF I think.

I have a lot of respect for you guys who do this as a business. I finally detailed my car yesterday and it look a lot longer then I had expected (8-9hrs total). the taping job got boring really quick. so many emblems and clear bra on the front and under the door handles.
I just finished applying the AG HD wax and I really like it. I'm gonna add another layer tomorrow and see how it comes out. All in all I learned a lot being this was my first time.

How did you apply the HD? Meaning how often did you have to re-wet the applicator that it comes with?

i was able to wax the entire car without having to re-wet the applicator.

I take as long as I take. I always get a vehicle for all day. if i need it for that long then so be it but usually about 5-6 hours without major paint correction. My motto is "clean it like you own it"! But I certainly don't do this as a sole income either.

Between 6 - 8 hours for a 1 step depending on how much I was being paid to do.

If it were me, I would find out what other detailers in the area are charging, and go a little below what they are charging per hour. The first time you do a car, charge by the hour. Then, after they become a regular customer, you can put together package pricing for them. After a while, you will get your process dialed in, and you should be able to determine how long each job should take you. Never quote a job without seeing the car first. That can really bite you in the A*#.

Also, don't use your age as a reason to charge any less. Just because you are young doesn't mean that you do a lower quality work. I know a deatailer in NJ who is young, and is IMO, the BEST detailer in the state.
