Which one do you guys use in the shop? The Space shuttle or the other one? Also do you feel that there is enough gpm?
try checking craigslist, you can pick up a good gas unit for the same as a new electric...just a thought
Rnickolas, I've seen them on CL and Fleabay but the problem is if they weren't properly maintained during there life with my luck KA-BLAMO!! This one thing I would rather buy new. And also the problem with gas is the noise. Sometimes I work early in the morning when it's cooler or late at night. At least with electric I can set the until in the garage and pull the door down so just hose is running out. With gas can't let the garage fill with fumes to keep the noise down. But your right you can get more bang for your buck with gas powered.
im not trying to argue here... but you will find most of the better pw's are running ceramic triplex pumps. just sayin'
gas = need to buy gas = more expensive to run that electric imo but actually that isnt really a big point but gas has too much power which can go out of hand at times i believe. Like zomg dents in mah cars by the powah of water! Overall, yeah grab the Kranzys if you can afford em from phil cuz I know theyre awesome and dont look as cheap but if you're on a budget, cant go wrong with karcher =p
haha, thanks for making me feel retarded Phil...I dropped mine first time using this last week. (Unloading back home after a longgg 17hour paint correction) Its funny cause my old gas pressure washer weighed twice as much but never dropped that.. Nothing even happened though, just a tinnny chip in the plastic on the corner bottom of the cover and the wheel cap popped off. I will agree that the kranzle 1120T is an awesome unit. It was a little more than I wanted to spend but I didn't have a choice since making the decision to switch from gas to electric this was the only brand that will self prime/pump water which is a must since I use a water tank set up with D. I. Well worth the money though, Its a very clean product. Most cheaper pressure washers only come with a 25ft hose and no reel which was also another big plus to buying it.
I use the K.68 every day. I use it to do one or two cars a day plus use it to get all the kaka (salt, sand, stones, dirt and grease) pressure washed off the cement garage floor. Its pretty good value for the money. One negative.... I would much prefer to connect the power supply and hose connection to the body of the pressure washer individually .. right now the karch's attached power supply cord and attached hose for the want make it a royal pain to move around. As soon as my Karcher crap's out its right back to Costco for a full refund and then get something I would love!
Is it really worth 3X the coinage ? I think my Karcher has better specs .. Now if it all detached! it may be worth the cost.. ... and i don't like rolling the wand hose so tight into the machine .. doesn't it get kinked often ? On the Karcher you have to roll it up very carefully ..
I can't justify spending $500 plus dollars on a pressure washer. I have a lot of home projects right now. I'm thinking about buying this one. It has good reviews and it's fairly cheap. Homelite 2,500 psi 2.3 GPM Axial Cam Pump Gas Pressure Washer - HL252300 at The Home Depot
I am also looking for a PW under $200 and electric. I am looking at the AR North America 383 the only thing really hindering the purchase is the fact I can not find a foam cannon to use with it
Don't your money on the AR! My neighbor had bought used it 3 times started smoking sent it back the new one worked half the summer then the pump went out! Stick with a Karcher or buy from Costco were you can get lifetime warranty.
I got a Kranzle K1120T with foam cannon from Phil. Phil worked out a pretty good deal for me that I couldn't find anywhere else. it very organized professional looking machine. I haul it to work in my trunk to wash some cars, it weights about 70lbs, which its not light. I looked up reviews for the cheaper models, and got mixed reviews on them failing. I looked up the more expensive models and theres no problems. so I save my money and got a more expensive one.
let me start by saying, if you have good luck w/ a cheaper pressure washer...I'm glad you do and honestly hope it lives a long life. that being said, i did a great deal of research on pressure washers, spoke with people who pressure wash for a living, and found that the specs on a good deal of the cheaper models are inflated.
You aren't kidding overtime! Phil shot me a price yesterday that I'll really shouldn't pass up! F#$% there goes my 1st quarter budget!! Thanks Phil....lol
money well spent for me, my co-workers all sign up for a bi-weekly wash now since they seen the Kranzle. Ill make that money back in no time!
I am using pressure washers for last 2 years which I have bought from Daimer. These pressure washer machines are working perfectly & I am really happy with the performance.
Autogeek Foam Cannon HP, foam lance, foam wash gun, pressure washer foamer Edit: I use that Cannon with This briggs and stratton power washer - It uses the "Lavor" Adapter.
