I hate the new format...

Ahh, gotcha... In the end, as long as the functionality is there all the aesthic stuff is all subjective and relative to personal preference...

The site will still remain strong!

 

I think the site looks good. I mean it takes a lot of work to do what Phil and his computer guys are doing. We should give him props for getting the site back up so fast considering all the changes.

Even though I had some suggetions, this forum is really about us, the people and the context of detailing as a whole. Im just happy to be in a drama free place without alot of jerks.

It all will take a little bit of getting used to. There is quite a bit more functionality on the new site, and it's taken Phil a lot of time and money to get it to look and feel this way. He will keep tweaking it in the next couple of days, but all in all I think it's a very nice refresh!

 

i think its great that phil and his people take the time to try and make this site a better place. some times change just takes time to get used too. also im sure this is for the better.

 

I think Phil should be commended for all the hard work he has put into the new site layout. I really don't think folks understand what really goes into it.

I think Phil was looking to make this something new and not something that was "left over" from the prior owner.

There are going to be bumps in the road and in the end they will get resolved. I know Phil has a lot of plans and changes for the forum. I think everyone will be very happy in the long run.

 

I like the new format. Alot.

I also like how they kept the theme in light tones. Some forums I visit have a dark or even worse, a black background and it really hurts your eyes if you sit in front of the screen too long.

Yes...as we have said earlier...Themes are in the works...

 

I do not like the fact that my registration was wipe and had to recreate an id. I was a paid forum supporter...Not very happy.

colors need to be adjusted as well. when you click on messages on top if you got message text shows up very light and hard to read, i know its not needed to know what it says but still.
do you want us to post problems that we find of all this will just be taken care of without our input?

 

running out of funds quick with all these issues maybe I'll just scrape it and go back to the old forum.

 

Does your host allow for 3rd party tinkering? I can try and help out with the code side of things for free.
