look up "featureless rifle" and "bullet button" and tell me how that is supposed to reduce crime. Anyway, I have my arsenal, and im fine with following the laws, but it does not diminish the fact criminals don't follow the law anyway. Gun control is like reducing drunk driving by legislating sober drivers.

how does a front secondary grip on my AR create more crime? How does a pistol grip on a my AR create more crime? I could go on, it makes no sense. Blackrifles are big and scary, but more people are killed BY DUI, Blunt force trauma, Poisioning, Drowning, Drowning in ones drunk vomit, trees falling on them (I could go on) then any ASW will.

Really makes no sense. Californias laws are structured to reward the lazy indigent and criminals, not the hard working taxpayers. Sadly our Federal government is headed that way too.

    Sorry if anyone is offended.

I feel your pain man.... when it's winter here in Chicago and you basically cannot do anything besides go to the mall, work, school... it gets really depressing. I hate the cold, I am not a polar bear; I'm not designed for this cold environment.

I have spent 200 hours this winter in a loader removing snow from the 500 hours spent plowing the snow. I actually got a detail to do tomorrow and I have never been so excited in my life to do a detail. It will make me feel normal again. Until the next noreaster that rips thru starting monday.:thud: In my spare time I stand in my shop just smelling car soaps and hugging my microfiber and such just to remind me that spring hopefully comes soon.
As good as porn is I am too exhausted to care. LOL

I know what you mean, I hate that my car is always getting dirty and knowing there's no point in cleaning it, since another storm is right around the corner. I'm finally building up a decent collection of detailing stuff and I'm ready to use it to actually make money...but I can't do anything till it gets warm enough to detail. I've got like $400 left right now lol, most of that will go towards gas and I guess I'll be fine since I only fill up once every three weeks or so. Still, that isn't a lot of money. And it doesn't help that I am having a real problem with depression right now, this cold weather and the overcast skies are just making it worse :( I'm going to the doctor for it on Thursday...hoping they'll put me on something to help pull me outta this.

you could move to Nevada on the other hand...but there will be snow there...I think in nevada you can even have fully automatic machine guns...guns laws in California suck...and takes are killing me as well...and they are not going down, going up...cost me $700 to register my X5...

yeah nevada wouldnt be too bad. i like arizona too. most states you can obtain full-auto firearms with the right licenses. you just have to go through the ATF (or BATFE as its now called) and the licenses arent exactly given out to just anyone.

I hear ya Bill. I am so sick of this crap. Today the temps actually got up to around 45 and I broke out some ONR and OCW just to get one of my cars clean. I couldn't stand to look at it anymore.

    This winter is so depressing....

Great.....as if the 2+ feet of snow this past week wasn't enough, we got about 2-3 more inches today. Snow again is expected tomorrow and colder temperatures..... I can't wait for spring lol to head up to the river and do some BIG time catfishing..... and of course to start detailing again!

I have to say, while I hate winter, the timing of the snow storms has been good. I've been able to do full wheel/wheel well cleaning outside almost every week-end so far. But I must say that this week-end I've been slipping and sliding all over my driveway because of the damn ice we had last week.

Don't be too upset guys, if it weren't for winter, there'd probably be no ONR. :applause2:

Today was a tease, it got to like 42 and it almost felt like summer. I'm taking off work the first day it hits at least 60 and just bask in the relative warmth haha. I think the mid-atlantic might be getting some snow again though, I hope thats wrong.

Sorry the NE and Midwest has had such a bad winter. It looks like a lot of the snowy weather that normally hits the Northwest went over us and landed in your yards instead.

We recently went I think at least a couple of months with freezing/near freezing weather every day, and of course, much colder at night, especially if the sky was clear.

I have done my share of washing cars outside in my driveway in rain, sleet, and snow this year, and do this so I can pressure wash the engines and compartment.

The only thing that saves me from getting frostbite on my hands, most of the time, is to fill a 5 gallon bucket up with the hottest water I cant get out of the tank, and mix my carwash soap in it.

This works pretty good, as long as its not too freezing out there.

We are a lot more cloudy than probably any other place, so the lack of sun causes most people up here to booze it up, etc., cause they are depressed . The really rich ones, just take weeks of vacation to places where its still major sunny, and are more well adjusted because of that.

I use as many "Reveal" light bulbs in the house as I can afford to pay for, and this helps us out too.

Lucky for me, I am just finishing a metallic gray '06 Volve XC90, and have an '03 Black Sapphire BMW 540i waiting in line for my Premium Plus Detail . :)

And I can totally relate to everyone that says they are going crazy because they cant work in the garage - I know I would be bonkers too, if I couldnt keep doing what I love to do!

Hope it gets better for you guys - for all of us !!!

spring sucks over here in cali (at least in northern california) from the standpoint that there is so much pollen in the air.

ill wash my car and them come out an hour later to see that my car has a yellow coat of pollen all over it :(

I came from Northern California - Folsom, and I would be happy to have pollen in the spring and get it over with.
Up here, its pollen all year long except in a hard enough winter to stop things from growing..

i'd take a dusting of pollen over a coating of road salt and brine any day, lol.

its looking like its going to be warming up this week guys. hopefully i'll at least be able to break out the powerwasher this weekend. the other thing that bothers me is now the 2+ feet of snow is melting and there is water everywhere. i cant drive more than a few minutes without driving through a huge puddle, so why bother washing...

Well fortunately no more snow in the forecast for a while...looks like tomorrow I'm breaking out the ONR and washing my car! Honestly one of the things that really helps with my depression is cleaning my car, so that's what I'm gonna do. Maybe even give a good friend a tutorial on how to use ONR so he'll finally order some proper detailing supplies :p
