Can anyone recommend a cost-effective interior cleaner for stuff like dashboard, plastic panels, etc? I got Leatherique for my leather seats and now I am looking for something to clean the rest of the interior with. Preferably something you can buy in a gallon or large quantity. Something that works awesome and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Thanks fellas!
You know, I actually have a small (around 16oz or so bottle of Autoglym Interior Shampoo that I purchased last year for some spots on my car.... that stuff is magic. Can you buy it in a gallon to save money?
Yup, it's available in gallon sizes. Check Autowerkes Exclusive. I know they have it there. http://www.autowerkesexclusive.com/products/Interior/Autoglym-Interior-Shampoo---5L/index.html
I have yet to try the 5L container I bought a couple of weeks ago. Ken (911Fanatic) has been using it for years with great results. Can't wait to try it out. Power Clean is pretty good for cleaning interior surfaces. I usually prepare a 2-3 gallons of hot/warm water and add 1.5 ounces of PC. I go over every surface with a mf and it works pretty good. The reason I bought AG Interior Shampoo is that Power Clean can dry your hands fast. I always have to wear gloves with Power Clean.
DP Interior cleaner is great DP Total Interior Cleaner 128 oz. Einszett is awesome as well... http://www.detailersdomain.com/1zeinszett-cockpitpremiuminteriorcleaner10l.aspx
It's such a shame that DP is not but 1 get 1 free.... Almost all of their stuff is buy1 get1 free except for that.....
I just bought two 1 gallon jugs of Autoglym Interior Cleaner. Should I dilute it 1:10 or is that going to be too weak? Thanks for the help guys!
Ultima Waterless Wash makes an excellent interior cleaner and for the price you are not going to beat it. Around $20 will get you 5.5gal of cleaner.
This is true. I never use the waterless wash product as waterless wash but it is very good as interior cleaner but not carpets. Meg APC dilute 12:1 or OPC from optimum are your safest best cost effective interior cleaner. OPC is veryvery good on interior and safe on leathers too.
ltebow34, yup Ken's got the Autoglym Interior Cleaner available in gallon size. Bunky, Meg's QID works great but I think you would want to use that after you used a product such as Autolgym Interior Clean or OPC to make sure you get whatever protection was previously used on the dash, plastics off. Even though QID offers light cleaning. That way you aren't topping up with multiple products.
I love autoglym interior cleaner. It comes in two forms in the bulk format, ken carries the super interior cleaner which is more concentrated so it needs to be diluted, the other you use straight. This makes it even more economical. I think the instruction calls for up to 8:1 but I have gotten away with 10:1 for own car as it is pretty clean. I think 4:1 is a reasonable dilution for more soiled messes. It is suppose to deoderize and neutralize smells. I also found it excellent on my rubber mats and like to smell.
Another vote for DP total interior cleaner. If the interior is bad Ill go over it with DP, then 1z cockpit premium.
Einszett Cockpit Premium is nice, but have you tried Werkstat Satin Prot? That stuff leaves the interior looking great. Once you clean it up that is.
