How do I get in contact with Avi to make a purchase for the Cquartz 30ml kit?

Just a quick update on my CQuartz experience so far. anybody that knows me can attest that I Have tried just about every product under the sun ( until the last 2 years , cutting back on my supplies ) living in the northeast in the winter you car can get very dirty in a heartbeat with all of the roadsalt and wet roads we see every day. I currently have CQuartz on my front fenders and hood of my Chevy TB daily driver. looking at the fenders they are a lot cleaner than the rest of the truck but we can say they should be as the tires are not shooting crap all over them. the hood being a surface where the snow dirt and crud can sit is a different story. went to the local touchless car wash to blow off the heavy stuff before my regular ONR wash. for the CQuartz section just a light rinse and they were a lot cleaner than the rest of my ride. when I busted out my ONR , the sections with CQuartz went very quick as there was very little to actually wash off. the rest of the truck was a lot more work at the car wash going over it a couple of times and it still had more of a light film on it . so far this stuff has very impressive. can not wait until Spring to do the rest of my ride.

I've got 2 coats on my MKX and it is holding out very well so far. The snow doesn't stick to it as well either I have found.

Richy I was going to ask you a question. I am going to do my maintenance correction on my 04 black Mustang Gt soon. I usually would use Blackfire Wet Diamond but wanted to try Cquartz. I wanted to know since I am used to correcting a finish say every 6 to 9 months depending on how it looks. I wanted to know since Cquartz states 2 years + of protection. I am guessing you just correct the finish then apply it and dont do any correction work for 2 or more years. Wont the vehicle be slightly swirled by the 1 year mark? I am guessing you just live with the the light swirls you get from washing for 2 years because if I correct it will remove Cquartz? Or are the scratch resistant properties in Cquartz really that good where your vehicle will stay looking great and not need correction for the 2 year time span? This is my main concern.

Sorry to jump in as I know you were addressing Richy, but I figured I would give my two cents.

I wanted to test the anti scratch effects of Cquartz so I corrected both black plastic B pillar panels as they are extremely soft and scratch immediately regardless of what you touch them with. One I applied Cquartz to, the other I applied Collinite 845. After weekly ONR washes due to my car being outside, the B pillar which I applied Cquartz to had zero marring while the uncoated side had a frankly appalling amount of swirls and marring.

This amazed me as I don't have scrap panels to test the anti-scratch properties, I will be able to update on how it holds up on the actual paint, especially the horizontal panels soon as I have had my entire car coated for a few months now.

Mike @ AA is doing a reserve order with some good pricing the Cquartz products. My question is; Is the standard 30ml bottle going to be enough to give a VW Jetta 2 coats or will I need a second bottle? I would like to do the paint, glass and wheels if possible. Thanks

for 2 layers you will need round 40~50 ml for full car coverage
so i guess 2 bottles needed.

about the other questions asked here to Richy, of-course there will be swirls during 1 year or so, cquartz is not 100% proof. final finish polish with soft pad wont remove the cquartz completely
so if you want to remove light swirls ,it wont affect the coat , what i would recommend is coating Reload from time to time to keep the car perfect for self cleaning and touch-less wash.

Danny sent me this question via pm as well. I wanted to share the answer here as well:
Danny, I can't honestly answer that b/c it is a new product and hasn't stood the test of time. Do I believe it will last that long? Yes I do. And, yes it should be resistant to swirls and light scratches in that time period. You may want to give it an IPA wipedown every few months to keep the surface clean and the coating allowed to act to its ability. I bought some ReLoad which I will also use periodically to boost the effectiveness of the coating. I'll be excited to see how it works for you. Pls let me know.

So I guess the consistency of this stuff allow a little to be spread over a large area? That bottle seems so small, I can't even imagine it would be able to cover a single car.

Check YouTube for Cquartz. You will see a few installation videos which will help you understand.

I've watched a few of the you tube videos and I'm thinking the consistency is much like opti-seal , upgp etc. so a little should spread a long way.

If you watch the videos, notice the demonstrator goes to the bottle maybe twice per panel.

I wonder if this type of cleansing would help other lsp's in the durability department?

It most certainly will, albeit more so with sealants as carnauba waxes are do not bond with the paint but instead act as a barrier sitting on the paint.

I know Iron X Soap gel can be used to maintain Cquartz. Can regular Iron X be used to remove contaminates from a vehicle with Cquartz already applied to it. And can you clay Cquartz with a fine grade clay to remove contaminates from it, say after half a year from the application date to clean the coating before applying Reload to the panels or will this damage the coating? I am going to order Cquartz next week which is the reason for my questions.

Danny, I would think a mild clay would be fine. The ironX should also be fine. You will see how the coating reacts to water when you do it. Any deviation from that and you know something has affected the coating. I will periodically do a wipedown with IPA/KK (Krud Kutter) to keep the surface clean. That will help the coating as well as using ReLoad periodically. Make sure you get some. It will be your favourite instantly.

Thanks Richy I appreciate it, is the mixture for IPA and KK 9:1 like the what Carpro tells us to use, but with IPA and Dawn? I am guessing it would be ok to substitute Zep Citrus for KK?
