Different Wax from Same Company...Pinnacle???

So I've done some searching on the Pinnacle and read quite a few post where you guys talk about the Souveran...my interpretation from the post is this is a really awesome product, but more of a show product with less than stellar durability.

However, my dad has been ranting and raving about the Pinnacle product he's been using. I'm pretty safely assuming he's using the Signature Series because he hasn't said anything about the price being high. But, he literally loves the stuff and has commented several times on how well it last. So, two part question...

Anyone really happy with the Signature Series for what you're using it for? i.e. dd duties?

And, when you have a company that puts out two distinctly different products (in this case Souveran vs Signature), is there really and truly that big of a difference in the product to drive the price? Is one really that different from the other?

    Thanks guys!

ok signature series 2 gives a nice wet look and is a fantastic wax/ souveran gives more of a warm deeper lookand a great gloss . both are fantastic and totaly different. i own both and love them . durability is only 2 to 3 weks but fine if u enjoy waxeing. which i do..

I just found out he's been using the XMT 180 carunba...so that's three in the mix, but that's the one he's been loving.

Guess like almost anything else we do, you just have to try it and see how you like it for you! You can ask all the opinionated questions you want, but at the end of the day, it still boils down to that.

When you say 2-3 weeks, does that mean water beading/sheeting qualities diminish, appearance diminishes, or both, etc?

i gave souveran a go and didnt like it

sure it deepens dark colours (used on solid black) but it also reduces clarity quite noticeably

i got a similar trade off using crystal noir and autobrite black magic. However using something like lusso, and more importantly naviwax dark, performed the same colour deepening effect without loss in clarity/reflections

id assume the same company puts out two products and two different prices to cover a market segment more completely. Whether there is much difference bw the two would be hard to tell, in fact on a perfectly prep'd surface its often hard to tell the difference bw different manufacturer's waxes
