Why should I get my car detail, when its going get dirty next week??

I told this customer that once your car is detailed. The wax will reduces the damages cause by mother nature. It will aid easier clean up later on with proper technique and products. Can add interior conditioning package to further protect the interior from harmful UV, easier spot cleaning, n keeping bacterial out.

This customer is still not sold!

    so whats next???

LMFAO ... yeah I stopped taking showers a long time ago because I always get dirty.

I wouldn't offer him a full detail. Just a quick wash & spray wax. I would show him the swirls that you can remove when Spring time comes.

Price is not the issue, this person parks the car on the streets of NYC.

objections are usually over price, dont comprimise. Walk away, sounds like a potential headache.

Memorize this phrase and use it often, I have found it works wonders....

"Once your car gets this full detail done just this ONE time, it should never need this level of work ever again."

    ^^^ let that ruminate in their head for a few seconds and follow up with;

"The first detail is always the most extensive and the most expensive, from here on out its light maintenance details. All you have to do is take gentle car of your car between appointments."

    And thats it.

get a sponge and scrub it on his paintwork without sealant, then scrub an area with and tell him if he wants to detail

Um sealants and waxes prevent very mild marring, you can still marr a well protected finish extremely easy.

well he'd still want detailing with the marring kuku
but we can always do a bit of magic and make it work as described

Don't ever tell a client that ANY LSP will stop or even help reduce marring. That client will go home, wash it with a rake and then want it fixed(for free of course) because YOU said it wouldn't happen. LSPs don't stop swirls. Common sense does and you either have it or you don't.

I guess that's why ill never sell my detailing cuz I'll be on the red real quick with my ideas
I think acid rain will better illustrate the use of lsp

I would not say that to a customer, but in my mind I would. some people may take it a little bit offensive.

Even when I use CQ on a customer's car, I do not push the scratch resistance of it. Like Ken wisely said, you don't need them doing anything stupid b/c they think their paint is now invincible. Common sense is far too uncommon anymore.

Don't convince someone that they need your services.... Politely decline their business and move on....
