I washed my Gt with ONR 1.5 oz to 2 gallon in hot water, used 2 Grit Guards, pre treated the panels with ONR in a spray bottle with hot water, and used my DI sheep skin mitt as my wash media. I also dumped the rinse bucket and re filled it with clean fresh water half ways through to ensure I didn't swirl the finish with dirty water. I then dried each section with my DI waffle weave using Chemical Guys Pro Detailer as a drying aid. And came back over it with a spritzed on Chemical Guys Monster Microfiber to eliminate any streaking. But first before I started the ONR wash I washed my wheels and exhaust tips using my fender brush and a wheel barrel brush using Simple Green at 1:10 and hot water to in a separate bucket only designated for my wheels. I know this is nothing special but since it was the first time I washed the mustang using ONR I wanted to post something up. Also I wish I knew of ONR years ago when I needed it during the winter. Thanks it took me 1 hour and 15 minutes from start to finish. I didnt want to rush it and I went over the doors twice to make sure those were clean. A traditional wash usually takes me 1 hour 30 minutes or a little more because I foam it down and take out more items to use like my blower. I like to take my time on it since its black and my own personal daily driver. I liked using this alot its easier and my shoes dont get wet and cold from the hose nozzle and drive way being wet. Thanks Phil for the products
Im so glad its not as cold where I live verus the rest of the country.... I think thats the other reason Ive held off on buying ONR, no real reason to use it when i can wash a car year round.
I wish it was still warmer here it just snowed this weekend so it was freezing. Today it was warmer though it was like 47 outside when I was washing it. The rest of the week it should be sunny and back in the high 50's to 60's for our highs during the day so I am happy
i wear shorts year round....... except when im snowmobiling. I dont even own a jacket LOL...... i guess thats the ONLY good thing left about california
wow that looks great. So what kind of dirt was on the car, just dust? I kind of want to get ONR Ive heard some people use a QD in the same way you can use ONR. a QD rinseless wash.
Looks great, I know what ya mean about wishing you'd known about ONR earlier. I couldn't believe it got all that nasty salt and stuff off my car without causing any marring or anything...definitely one of my favorite products that I could never live without!
Good job Danny, you live where I'm from. I just introduced my Dad (who still lives in EP) to ONR, he loves using it on his harley f150 HD.
Looks good and I'm glad your first experience was so positive. Now I only have one question: why is that grocery getter in the garage instead of that gorgeous Mustang?
Noob question: So when using the 2 bucket w/ grit guard method for washing, both grit guards stack on top of each other in the rinse bucket? I just got some GG's and have only used them a couple times, but I have been putting 1 in the rinse bucket and 1 in the wash bucket. Am I doing things wrong???
Thanks! That's what I thought, but OP's pic shows 2 in the rinse and none in the wash. That confused me...
Thanks Corey your stang looks great as well Thanks Heath! Thanks man and pick some up its a must have product. It was a combination of dust and dirt that got rained on so it was pretty dirty. Thanks man seeing your thread and how your VW looked so good made me give my mustang the ONR wash Thanks Nickolas. Defiantly a great product and thats awesome that your from El Paso as well, maybe when you come down to visit your dad we can meet up. Thanks man! Chris thank you I appreciate it. This was actually my second time using ONR the first time was on my girlfriends Scion TC a few weeks ago but this was the first time on my Mustang. Also the reason we keep the Mercedes ML 350 in the garage is because its a 2010 and worth alot more than my GT and its in pristine condition. I have corrected it with 85RD and it looks like a mirror on wheels. Its dirty right now though so it too will get an ONR wash as well soon. Either way is fine I had it one in one but towards the end of the wash the grit guard was keeping me from getting more ONR wash solution so I moved it to the rinse bucket to acess the rest of the wash solution. Exactly
