First of all, happy new year DB! Hope you all had a great holiday and are looking forward to 2011!

Anyways, I went to a Z Meet and photo shoot in Irvine CA which was a mixture of very well known 350zs and 370zs in Socal (you might recognize a couple if you follow speedhunters) to shoot some pictures, have lunch, and just hang out with a bunch of cool guys.

I have been spending a lot of time learning about taking semi-pro automotive shots and I tried my best to bring together all my knowledge and I ended up with some of the best shots I have ever taken. Here are some of my best of the day, let me know what you think!

    Thanks for the kind words!

Thanks Pat, much appreciated! How's your 300zx doing these days?

You should have seen the looks on the faces of people driving up the parking structure and seeing all our Zs strewn across the roof haha.

I have a feeling most of DB would have been grimacing at the swirls on some of them haha, but the quality of the cars in attendance was really amazing. Some of these cars I had only seen on car blogs and here I was being able to shoot them!

Ah, there will always be a next time so don't sweat it. I think there will be one early spring but that is up in the air. Are you on the370z?

Thank you for the nice comment Brian!

Hey Ankeet, I was shooting with my D3000 and the kit lens (18-55mm). The only thing I added was a circular polarizing filter and I used as much of my photography know how as I could. :)

Hehe, I can't believe I forgot. There were 7 people at our table and had three rounds of dimsum total. Here is what is left of it at the end of the first two rounds:

Domino beat me to it, they both have Amuse Vestito body kits which are decidedly more bodacious than the factory Nismo body. I prefer the Amuse to the Nismo kit, but I would personally never get either since the regular body looks great.

I have made wheels my big goal of the year out of the other options I was considering (exhaust, brakes). I have a short list of a few of the following:

    -Forgestar F14
    -Enkei RPF1
    -Work Emotion 11R-FT
-Sport package or Nismo rims (obvious cost advantage, most can be had with tires too).

    What do you think?

Forgestar look like good value for a lightweight wheel, but I'd still go with a JDM wheel where possible

The Z needs dish out the back IMO, a super concave wheel won't suit it as well

Those cars look great, but I can't stand that hellaflush look, or whatever they call that ridiculousness.
