CAR GLO BLUE GLASS BRITE........So i tried this glass cleaner from a local supply shop. I gotta say this is the best glass cleaner I have ever used. Not only that it's super cheap! Just thought I would let you guys know about it. :applause2:
To be honest I have tried a whole lot of different glass cleaners. Like a lot of other people, i'm sure, the glass was the hardest thing for me to get good at. I tried everything from Meguiars to Sprayway to Rightlooks glass cleaner and others as well. My go to before this was rightlooks glass cleaner mixed at 5/1 since it gets so hot here in So Cal. This one for me anyway has been the easiest to use. They mix it with DI water to help reduce spotting and streaking. I know glass is it's own animal and many people have different opinions on different cleaners and how well they work for that particular individual. For me this one works great.
yeah the website for the guy locally (San Diego) is Upodium Car Care I wasn't sure if we were allowed to put up links on here or not that's why i didn't include one in my original post. As far as the rest of his products go i can't really say cause I have only bought clay magic and the glass cleaner.
im a bit paranoid about using cheap glass cleaners...im worried what harmful petrol distillates they put in them and im breathing in using, and we all use glass cleaners alot more frequently than waxes and polishes having said that, best ive used has been the Stoner glass cleaner....the AG is good too, but the Stoner would always dry streak free regardless of how carless you used it
The product description says that it is alcohol based, so I am assuming that means it does not contain ammonia? Thanks for the link showcase! I have been looking for reasonably local suppliers.
after trying surf city i dont think i will ever use another glass cleaner and i was using stoners for about 7 years prior. can you compare to surfcity?
I'm pretty happy with Adam's glass cleaner. No complaints yet, but I haven't tried it in hot summer weather, either.
I tend to check links to our site via Alta Vista and stumbled across this posting about our Glass Brite product. This product was developed over months of testing and tweaking to find the proper blend of cleaning without streaking. As was already noted, we make it with DI water having an absolute TDS reading of ZERO (simply means pretty good water). It comes in three colors to help the professional detailer differentiate their products by color and yes, it is an alcohol base so safe on after market tint. As important as a good glass cleaner is to streak free windows, even more important is to make sure you're using clean towels. Never use a fabric softener and never wash your glass towels with others that have been contaminated with waxes or silicones. If you do, don't blame the cleaner. Not here to sell. Just wanted to offer a little background information on a product that we invested a lot of time developing.
Invisible glass has been my go-to glass cleaner forever..... i have like 12 cans lol. I have a gallon of Megs Professional glass cleaner that i wanna give a try!!!!
IG is also a nice product. A little on the expensive side but a very nice cleaner nonetheless. A tip for cleaning your windows: Use a different wiping motion for the inside than the outside. That way when you stand back and see a streak, you can tell which side it's on by the direction.
