I don't know how many of you follow Autoblog but I just read that they may not be bringing back an RS4 because of having the RS5. I'm not liking this decision, the RS4 is a staple of the sports car sedan world.
The RS4 was one of the staple 4 door sports salooooons with the M5 and the E55 AMG, sad news of them taking away it away as I like that one over the BMW/MB alternates. Am glad VW/Audi brought the R20 to the states though.
haha thanks for the correction Ankeet, I feel like I should have known to call it that with all the Top Gear I watch.
god damnit. one of my favorite cars that i would consider "realistically attainable", lol. im sure the RS5 is going to be sick, but theres nothing like a 4 door saloon with gobs of V8 power that you can load your family in and drive in almost any conditions with. this news makes me sad.
I don't think Audi has officially came out and said this, but they seem to bring only 1 RS model to the States at any given time.
You gotta figure that it's probably a question of sales. 1.) Our economy is bad so the exchange rate makes for a significantly higher price tag than we are used to. 2.) Our economy is bad so there aren't too many people these days who are going to opt for a high-performance A4 that would cost literally double the price. 3.) The trend is now value and fuel economy. People want free scheduled maintenance and high mpg's, not tons of horsepower.
