    Hey guys,
Im going to be on a Philadelphia Public tv station to talk
about the importance of detailing your car,

im excited, but want some hints on what else to talk about,
its really focused on paint, so I dont need to worry about wheels,
I am breaking it down into groups, Washing using the right soaps,
how to prop rinse a car, the importance of a clay bar, why you should
    compound/polish before the end... waxing.

Of course im going to mention the great guys on Detailing Bliss to!
Maybe Ill try to make a DB shirt hahahahaha

sounds awesome man! what program is this for and what channel/time? let me know and ill try and catch it when its on. i would concentrate on proper wash technique as much as possible within reason because that is what i think will appeal to the majority of people, and is something that can be accomplished by most everyone with basic tools. plus as we all know proper wash technique is the foundation to maintaining a nice finish. if you have time order a DB shirt from phil so you can wear it! im sure you'd have it the day after ordering.

    for sure man!
    thanks,

its going to be on community college of Philadelphia/Temple tv,
i know they share the same station as philadelphia programming,
ill try to find out the station and put it up here as soon as I can!

I will definately concentrate on the wash. etc! your deff right
as most people don't have what we have, most people definately
dont have a grit gaurd, I might try to make a DIY one for people.

    thanks again.

no offense, but you really think the average joe that is looking to take care of his/her car a little better is going to care about soap pH? dont forget, people like us are around .00001% of the worlds population, lol.

Billy is right, stick to the basics about proper wash techniques along with maintenance and I think you might strike the right chord with a few viewers. Most people will NEVER polish their car but better chances they will wash at some point.....hopefully.

Maybe reference proper tools and the harmful affects of commercial car washes.

Hmm...Billy think there is more than 689 people interested in hardcore detailing in the world :applause2:...ok sorry had to do it...

I would say basic washing...one bucket (or two bucket) with grit guard...wash media...basic soap and how to do it..top to bottom deal. Maybe go into how bad washing leads or marring and have a 50/50 shot to show what it really can do as many people have never seen a "detailed" car.

I think it also depends on how long of a segment you have.

remember, the key to sounding like a pro is spouting off a rediculous number of washing steps

and if i may add my .02$ if you actually are a pro detailer who makes a living doing so I would really blow off the DB t-shirts and advertise your own business.... this opportunity could actually bring you many new clients if you use that time wisely ....

Again i'm in the real estate business and detail for meditation but if i had that opportunity i'd be explaining a paint and plaster job while selling them a condo project :))) !

Little side bar on the video and what to wear when washing a car, attire. Notice Paul has jeans on which is secured with a belt and what appears he is wearing the kind with rivets on. The pld KISS principle is what people will recall, Good Luck.

This means we all gotta go out and buy Levi's and a big Texas belt buckle, right?
