Snowstorm of the decade for the Twin Cities (I've lived here since 1999...I've never seen snow like this):

This was this morning at about 10:

At about 1 (the snow was pushed up against the glass an extra inch so not quite this tall):

Lots of stuff blowing around...caught on my Alaskan Malamute's face:

At least I was able to clean and protect my summer cloth floormats:

Vaccuumed, brushed, and sprayed with CG Stain Extractor (50/50). The white logo wasn't coming clean to me liking...a little bit of dirt on the head and ears.

I was able to extract it with some Kleenco Efforless Spot Remover my mom has for carpet cleaning.

The snow was getting really deep; hard even for a snow sledding dog to walk through...especially since she has cataracts and probably only has 10% of her sight.

Great looking dog. Sad about her sight.

    Yeah...it's unfortunate.

For a couple years...we were laughing at how she would bump into stuff. Then we realized it was what it was and we felt like crap.

I think we will be doing surgery in spring for her to get some sight back; she's 11 years old (that's somewhere around 65 human years) yet she's fitter than me...the other day I took her for a walk in the woods. Probably two miles...there is a hill on my street that she likes to run up....I was struggling to keep up. haha.

LOL, I should go outside and take a picture of our first snow storm of the year (which is just a regular day at work and happens roughly 10 - 15 times a winter) We currently have about 15" of snow. Next one is tomorrow, going to be another 12-15 inches. Nice dog BTW! :thumb:

Yeah...you guys on the upper east coast always get hammered with a ton more snow that we do.

Everyone thinks that Minnesota gets nailed, but that is usually not the case. Average snowfall is probably 2 inches each time it snows. Over the winter we get average of about 50". You guys get 86".

We just get the colder than average temps (16° average in winter).

You are having way too much fun there...why don't you send some snow to California? Perhaps to Sacramento? I really want it to snow here, but am NOT willing to move...

Minneapolis is one of the better cold climate cities IMO.

But Sac-town is a nice city too...I wish I could visit again (lived in Orange County the last 4 years - for school).

They just showed that on the Fox pre-game broadcast and that sucks! I wonder how long it is going to take them to repair that, doesn't seem like an easy task.

they'll probably have to put up a whole new top. We've had a dome in vancouver collapse as well in recent years and due to snow aswell.
possibley the dome was not fitted for such heavy snow or the staff didnt carry out procedure to raise temps or melt the snow above.
    inflatable domes ftl
