Hi to all, A friend is re-building his M3 E36 and now is finishing the interior... a few weeks ago hi found this steering wheel and want to restore it... let me to try what can I do. How he let me: Very bad leather... some holes... Start to sand all the leather: I apply Liquid Leather: Sand a bit more... i repeat this 4 times (liquid leather - sand... ) And finally, after few layers of tint... the finish: I hope you enjoy my work... I am very happy with the result, and my friend much more! Saludos!
Holy Shizzzz! Thats all I can say! That looks straight up new! I actually want to learn how to do this! What grade of sandpaper did you use?
If you guys look around there are instructions on this online. http://www.leatherrepairkits.com/Online_Repair_Instructions.pdf Did all of you guys really forgot about this thread? http://www.detailingbliss.com/forum/show-shine/4348-bmw-e30-m3-sport-evolution-full.htm
Thanks to all your comments! I use a P400 sandpaper Right now I use Leather Magic products, but soon I will try Leatherique ones. No, is not CG Liquid Leather, the grade was P400 Thanks to all! :applause:
Fantastic repair looks like a brand new wheel. I would not have thought that even repairable short of recovering it. Really impressive.
Wow that is a great turn around! I need to see if I can do that to my steering wheel on my Avalanche...
