mmmm i still cant sense the snow in the air :S
I'm just rolling on all seasons on my GLK but it at least has snow flake symbols on em Pirellis Scorpions and my mazda 5 has ExtremeContact DWS which is snow rated. I can only hope people around me wont be ass hats in the snow and slide into me. I'd get winter tires if i had the space for em :(

That's what I'm most afraid of every winter.

Actually...having spend the last two winters with my car at university in Southern California, this is the first my Rabbit has experienced snow.

If your tires have the snowflake symbol like in the pic, your tires are already snow rated and you're golden. No need to buy new ones. More money for detailing supplies. :thumb:

Chaseme - I'm in your area, and I have to say this was some VERY heavy snow.

Also, I had to cringe when I saw my neighbor use a shovel to remove the snow from their cars. :thud: The way some people treat their cars....

    Ouch!

Yeah, I tried as gently as possible to get the snow off with ny hands and arms.

yah more money for detailing! but one thing i have noticed with these snowflake symbols is that they are pretty "flakey" my last falken ZE-912s had m+s snowflake symbol i believe and they were fairly bad in snow (although not to the point of undrivable) but then again they were pretty bad in wet weather and cornering in general. From then on, I have learnt to not skimp out on tires and not to trust Consumer Reports (or the tire guy trying to sell me the tire with the magazine), raw test data and user reviews are a must.

I don't think the 912s have the mountain and snowflake on them. Rarely, if ever, do all seasons get snow rated. I can only think of 2 off the top of my head, Goodyear Fortera TripleTreds and some Nokian tire, forgot the model.

I would give anything to experience a white Christmas but after seeing that photo it makes me second guess things. LOL

I dont trust them as always lol :bla2: Never really accurate, especially when it comes to snow.

I hope my 3 year old tires will hold up, and lets hope its not going to be something epic like 2008.

Instead of buying snow tires, I bought something that would keep my car 100% safe from idiot winter drivers, and road salt.

epic 2008 lol I still remember driving in it in my mazda with falkens, gotta love the right side bias in the snow and treking through the back alleys of west boulevard driving my friends home from richmond. What tires ya got anyways and what vehicle. I'm sure in most cases you'll be fine unless we get a inch+ of snow then even my GLK will have some problems (especially out the garage)

    a BIKE?!! :D
    or a TRIKE?!
they should make ATVs road legal during snow!
