Sir....your on a website called "Detailing Bliss".....what do you think the majority of responses are going to be? I wouldn't take a car to an auto wash......ever.
[In fact, automatic car washes can be safer for your car's finish than washing your car yourself because do-it-yourselfers sometimes don't use enough water to safely remove dirt; or they wash the car in direct sunlight -- which can burn spots in the paint. Or they use the wrong type of soap -- such as dishwashing detergent, which removes protective wax and leaves a chalky residue on the finish. Or any one of several common mistakes can end up doing more harm than good] This is so misleading, if you ever get the chance, attend a car wash / wax vendors symposiums where they give demonstrations of the different soap products that these type of facilities use, as a Chemical Engineer / detailer they scare me. You'll come away a convert to never using those sorts of chemicals on any vehicle.
I never said i agree with it.just thought I'd share what AOL thinks is safe and a good idea.which I don't agree with
I think the only way I would rather take my car to a wash like that would be if the only other option to wash it was my friend. Who uses a brush on his car :yikes:
