yes then find out you're too piss broke to afford it in march! =p
but yeah i've found my pc to do the job but not really that "quickly" especially doing my B Pillars on my GLK (they look better than they were out of dealership, not 100% polished but will suffice for now)
actually those pillars are so damn delicate that when i wipe residue, it scratches it a bit AND my 3M masking tape sucks at taking the heat, Canadian tire 3M auto masking tape ftl, need alternative!

Put me down for 1 phil.

It would be nice to see the flex with 5" plate with pads, and 4" plate with pads.

Are there any real tangible differences between this and the 3403?

that is a hard one, I think it sounds louder because of the high frequency it makes. Higher frequencies appear louder to our ears even though if you put a dB meter on them it won't read high. Humans are more sensitive to high frequencies.

I believe the Makita sounds softer.

In my big hands I found the flex to feel real nice, and since I don't use a handle I love the rubber rap around on the gear housing!

For the price is it worth 40% more for 20% less weight? To each his own.

For me I can easily get my makita worked on (hardly ever needs it) locally. I like the higher rpms for boats of the makita. I also like I can run heavy large pads on the makita. I'm not so sure the venting of the Flex is all that "great/improved" the vents are still small in comparison to the makita.

I did mess around with one at SEMA.

I'm waiting for others to drop the big bucks and see. I think for that price a festool is better??

    Cheers,
    GREG

You can run 7-8" pads without overheating. Lower RPM..600 vrs 1000 and you don't need ear plugs at 1500 RPMs.
