Just in case anyone forgot. Garage your cars, if you get egged, wash it off immediately.

Yep, my car will be loaded up onto a 747-F later this afternoon where it will spend the rest of the night flying around the world where not eggs can harm her.

What's mischief night fellas? Sounds a nightmare just going on the description :(

Over here in the UK we just had 'Trick or Treat' on the 31st, and that's it - a few sweets for the little 'uns who come knocking but certainly no threats of anything being damaged.

Hope non of you guys with cars parked outside suffered any damage. Whoever came up with something called mischief night deserves their car egging imo.

It is the night before Halloween where kids go and create trouble, egg cars, and all that. Happy to say nothing happened in my apartment complex and all is good haha.

Nica is not longer owns the forum, Phil from Detailers Domain does now, PM him and he can help you out or another mod.

    Thanks guys :)

No real big deal, I'd just like to have the same name 'Viper' (or as close to) as I do on Detailing World. Phil's a member on DW, so I've pinged him a PM on my site - if he doesn't do it I'll change his name on DW (ha-ha, no, I'm only joking :)).

    It's Devils Night...

Fires have not been set for quite some years and many asked this year why it is even refered to as "Devils Night" these days

Our local paper repported 41 fires set in Detroit on Saturday night which is miles below the record 800 fires set in 1984.

a chunk of detroit looks like a warzone, fires won't really do much anyway. and 169 fires were tallied actually

This beautiful building is abandoned...its very sad.

Crap you're right, I got it confused... I haven't lived up that way since 91' so I'm things could have changed since then. They used to deal with dozens of fires on devils night.

Ya, I was living on California in 1984 so I never really saw the real Dvils Night...

While 41 fires may seem like a lot to some, the below excerpt from BattleCreekEnquirer.com really puts it into perspective as far as Detroit is considered.

Dangler: correct, but not all on devils night... I am in no way trying to defend the city, heck I don't evenlive in Detroit but paying attention to the headline only (169 fires in Detroit on Devils Night) is a bit misleading... especially considering the daily year round average in the city is 40 fires...

    You were close... :cig:

While I am sure the city has changed since 91 it still has quite a ways to go!

I'm sure it's changed......more murders, crime, poverty and because all the homes that have been burned throughout the years; it pushed more and more deginerates to move into the suburbs. Regardless, I'd move back to the Metro Detroit area in a heartbeat. Great education, parks, lakes, people, 4 seasons and American cars!!! Aren't they calling it Angel's Night these days?

Just gotta keep moving further and further north to keep above the fray.

Michigan would welcome you back with open arms and yes, some do call it Angels  Night now.
