    Hello DB,
Just curious if anyone can suggest a SV product or two for an enthusiast detailer. I'd like to take advantage of the great sale at DD. The primary vehicle to be pampered by these products will be a 2008 Metallic Black Mazdaspeed 3, so if there is a wax that would make it shine like no other, lets hear it!

I would say Saphir. Looks great. Easy on, easy off. A great wax. I would love to buy another pot now but I've got another project I'm working on.

Also, Prep will do more for your looks than a wax will. Prep makes a world of difference. Thats another story.

I would personally recommend either Blau Weiss or Mirage, probably with a slight edge to Blau Weiss. Have both, and have used both.

Great thread, I too was wondering what wax to get from Swissvax. Seems like there's a lot to choose from.

:agree: Preparation is everything when it comes to a nice finish. The wax is just the icing on the cake.

However, for me, the waxing is one of the most enjoyable. A good wax isn't only about looks. It's about easy of use to apply and remove, durability, beading, etc. etc.

I couldnt agree more. In fact, in the summer I like waxing more than in fall/winter. Any of my waxes, Concorso/Zuffenhausen/Glasur are more difficult to remove or breakdown in the winter when my garage is cooler and the bodywork of the car has a chill in it. Then I use a sealant. This year I want to try Power Lock. And, I know me better than anyone, there will be a coating of concorso right over it a week later.

I am trying to get myself another tub of Concorso. I am even trying to convince my wife that the new tub has a new "passion fruit" formulation in it that makes me last longer in the rack (from 2 minutes to 4 minutes) when I rub it on my hands! Lets see if she buys it...

Of course she'll buy it! But perhaps you should wait for Insignis?

I wouldn't reccomend that, chances are you would remove some if not all the SV Consorso. If you are looking for winter protection then I would suggest either SV Sheild which is a winter wax with 3 - 6 month protection or use a sealant such as PowerLock.

What do you think, 5 minutes?

That makes more sense, however SV products are best used over the SV Cleaner Fluids.

I would recomend a SV wax on top of a sealer like MG#21 or Powerlock... Looks great and will hold on for a long time:) Just make sure you let the sealer cure for it's full time before applying wax

Is Ketil making more of them?

Alright, I've settled on a pot of concorso. Do you think the cleaner fluid is a totally necessary accessory to this wax, or would any other paint cleansing lotion work just as well?
