The surfing shots are great. I like #6 best. If you'd like to share, how did you get the surfing shots? I'd be scared to bring my DSLR that close with water splashing everywhere, and surfing itself definitely isn't easy, haha.
Thanks! Your camera will get wet, no matter how careful you are. That 5th shot drenched it. These were taken with a Sigma 10-20 and I was inches away from the water the entire time. By the way, surfing shots taken with a Canon XTi and the S5 shot with a 50D.
Wow! I didnt know we were in the company of such an Artist here! Great pics bro, Great! Thanks, Joe D.
Very good shots. Good composition, and nice backlighting. How much post work did you do? Did you darken, lighten, etc. the backlit scenes? The exif data says 1/500 sec, f6.3, focus distance 0.78m, 12mm.
10-20? That's just crazy! I figured it'd have to be wide since you got a lot of stuff in the frame. I was thinking you'd at least be at 50mm though. I was so wrong, haha. That XTi is one durable DSLR body.
true definition of real men and photography => win i should now look into stealing the family's DSLR to bring over to vancouver
F13 1/50 sec ISO 100 20mm Didn't do much to it apart from darkening it a bit, and upping the contrast/saturation a bit.
