Any thoughts on this macine for detailing interiors?

    Thank you!

I've used it on over 35 cars and its proven to be my favourite machine. Easy to clean and very effective when doing carpets and seats. The only downside is that the water tank takes about 12min to heat up....and its hot so dont let the hose touch you. I've burned myself a couple times and it hurts.

Do a quick search on the Gaia and you will see a thread Richy started about it. Both Richy and myself have posted some before and after pics there so you'll see its power.

I use the steamer for crevices, headliner, and the odds and end uses. The extractor gets used on the seats and carpets.

    Hope that helps!

You hit all the questions I had saved up actually. I was curious if it is a steamer/extractor and how it works on crevices and headliners!

Have you used it for any external use? Can it be used to remove wheel grim?

    Thank you!

I wouldn't really count on it to remove wheel grime. I haven't tried it but I doubt it would be more efficient than Megs WB, or AG CWC. The steamer is about 65PSI at max so its good for all the decent areas. Not enough PSI to clean externally IMO.

i have the desiderio and it is very similar to the gaia. As mentioned before it is not powerful enough to clean rims or anything like that. if they are only lightly soiled and you use a chemical in addition to the steam it will work. however, IMO if you are going to use a chemical anyway you might as well just grab a brush and clean the rims properly.

For interior cleaning a steamer cannot be beat. It pulls dirt out of door panels and seats like you wouldn't believe.

I've had mine for several years and highly recommend it. The combo of extraction and steam can't be beat. do a search like Waseem recommended and you'll see examples from both of us. You will not be disappointed in the machine.

I would love to have one but man that price is just too much.

Not trying to sound like a smart *$$ here but you do get what you pay for ...well hopefully. I too was in your boat a few years back Dubbin, I wanted a steamer as badly as you seem to want one. The choices are many so you have to do a lot of searches because as you well know not all things are created equal. I've done my searches and saved some $ and my choices are now down to the Therma-Kleen and the Duprays that you'll find some info about on this forum. Lots of good people and info on here so be patient and make the choice that's right for you.
