Alpine white M3 bought by a new client "pre owned", the car is very nice with full option leather on all interior surfaces(nappa) but the paint had "issues" such as fallout so bad I used Mark V de-con and clay to get the rail dust and contaminents off. The wheels were curbed on the passenger side as well and were sent of for repair while the car was on the lift. Car as it arrived in the evening. After a 2.5 wash and de-con, the car is put away for the night with another future paint correction candidate(HAMMERED black 997 Carrera S). Just a "little brake dust build up". The two wheels going for repair were cleaned up(Wheels America guys love this!! saves them bigtime). Wheels being picked up. On with the paint correction, rotary foam compounding. Hard to get pics on the white finish, here are a couple of 50/50's. This pic shows the marring. Rear bumper 50/50. Roundel was even marred badly. After compounding. Getting thin on the trunklid. Working that area "Carefully". Finished down & looking it's best. Marring on drivers door handle area. After.
Quite a few chips, so touched up where needed. Wheel well before dressing. Wheels back from repair ready for mounting. Interior clean up. Trim clean up. Filler cap area handled. Almost completed. Sun pics.
Damn, amazing. Nice work capturing the faults in the paint and making it perfect. Out of curiosity, how much does it cost to get those two wheels fixed?
Love that car. Alpine white is amazing. Bob, out of curiosity, the car isn't that old, and I understand it was pre-owned, so the answer may vary, but how come the paint reading on the truck was low? Great job.
You never know what a car has experienced........somebody wool padded a scratch and removed mucho microns in an ill fated repair attempt I am sure.
