Yeah, I'm not sure how you patent methodology. It would be like me figuring out a super cool way to fold a towel that resists creasing while increasing its drying potential. Once the folding sequence is revealed.... how are you going to stop someone from folding their towels in the same manner? Now, if you made a jig that made the folding easy to do... or you sold the directions on how to do it... you might be able to make a few bucks, and even patent the jig and copyright the directions. It's a bit like the paintless dent removal guys. Initially, it was like breaking into Fort Knox trying to figure out how they did it. One guy taught another guy, for a fee, how to do the work. Sold the guy a kit of tools, made them sign agreements to keep the intricate details huh-hush. Once it became clear how it was done, there was no way to stop a guy from using similar techniques, even if he didn't use the same tools. If you made a unique machine you'd have something there. Or, if you sold a franchise that named the service as a center specializing in Enviro-SteamĀ® Car Washing, you'd have something there, too.
I hear you guys. talked to a detailer that I really look up to and aspire to be as good as in the future and he aggreed with all of you. there is no point to do a patent on a product mixture because it is relatively easy to get a chemical engineer to reverse engineer it and find out what it has in it. as far as my method goes, he consulted us and told us our best option for taking this national is to start a franchise. get the best chemical recommendations from him, under his advisment, and techniques as well. he aggreed to sign a confidentiallity aggreement as well as a no competition clause to be our advisors/consultants and says franchising something like this is the best option we have. so give us a few here guys, we will have the business model down, the chemicals we use (no run off/no water run off) and how many cars we bust out in a day. godoman
You got it right, I work in the medical field we extruded medical tubing to +/- 0.001 and even down to +/- .0005 if you pay extra, we have over a thousand different processes, and we don't even bother patenting them because all extrusion companies use similar processes which have minor differences but make major differences in the end result. We use non disclosure agreements for people who come in and put of the lab. Just keep your mix secret to whomever you trust, if you hire other employees, keep the mixture in jug so they can't figure it out
I was told to get the mixture that works for me to be broken down by a chemical engineer (costly) and then have 55 gallon drums made and sent to me on a regular basis so there is no name on the products I use and word will not get out plus it pays off drastically in the long run. just have to look into chemical engineers and after I have the recipe made to then turn around and find someone that will make such big vats for me. dont know if this is realistic though, especially at the level we are at but years down the road and with deep pockets it makes sense godoman
Godoman , i think you waist too much time on internet , you should clone yourself into 5-6 guys get more steamers and let them do the work for you . if u get 5 minutes for an suv..... u beat any car wash in your area. about price, charge as your value... :support:
thanks for the support vtec I am just starting out and have something way better than everyone else here. I had a grandson of my next door neighbor just come over for a wash only for 10 dollars because he is friends of the family. he drove this car to montana for his friends birthday from washington. _________________ watch movies online
