I know what you mean. I just finished a huge job on my dad's suburban and the motor blew up a week later. Now i have to fix all the marks left by the mechanic putting the new motor in. Car looks awesome. It's nice to see classics like that!
It's good to take care of pre/post paint defects early on. I'm sure this won't be the last time it gets a good buffing before leaving the shop as a finished vehicle.
