Carbon Fiber Sun Damage

    I Have carbon fiber mirrors on my car when i bought the car the original owner was from SC and the tops of the mirrors are faded and the bottoms are as if brand new is there anything i can do or use to make them shine like new again ? I am going to have to get a close up pic if u can see with the pic i have the tops are faded and not exactly sure what i can do or use

    Get some Megs Ultimate Compound and polish by hand.

    Are they clearcoated?

    Just polish and treat with a good wax...

    Carbon Fiber tends to yellow and get chalky when not taken care of. Polish the mirrors either by hand or with a PC with something like Meguiars Ultimate Compound or maybe some Menzerna Power Finish or P106 and then seal them up with a sealant or protection.

    that looks like a carbon vinyl wrap - should clean up with any plastic cleaner

    otherwise if it is carbon, looks like the clear coat has faded and just needs a polish as per paint

    Have to agree with Sam, that's got all the hallmarks of being a wrap rather than the real McCoy.
