Hey everyone! I'm newer on this forum, and just thought I'd share my latest micro project, my best friend's Audi TT. I did this in exchange for a steak and lobster dinner, LOL! It's his daily driver, and it's kept outside all year 'round. I feel sorry for this car because it lives in automatic car washes and has deep swirls and other marks all over the paintwork from general neglect, but I digress... :wall:

Yes... Zy*ol (you can't say their name online - they'll sue I swear) waxes, at least the "estate glazes" are best applied by hand... take a small dime sized piece of wax out and rub it in your palms til it melts, then apply it thinly by hand. The "fish scaling" technique helps ensure that it goes on evenly as possible.

Makes it easier to find... anything else come up with "Steak" on here? The whole joke here is that I got shafted by accepting steak as payment in advance for this detail. FML.

I used a mix... I substituted Concours with Glasur ($70 difference per pot), Meg's APC in place of P21S TAW (a difference of $40 per container), etc. But I pulled out all the stops with the 3M compounds and pads. First time using them, and I think I've got the only set in the Greater St. Louis bi-state area, or maybe the whole midwest...
