I agree to a point. I have been using AG for 18 years and honestly, their polishes suck. Most of their core products however, will still work as good as anything available. I still use their cleaners daily in my shop but there isn't anything I've tried that I can replace them with.

If you spritz a bit of water on your applicator pad it won't flash as quickly. Work it until it goes clear and it will come off very easily and your glass will sparkle. :)

Love and hate the Uber No-Name MF towels. Softest, plushiest towels I have right now. Probably great for polishing/LSP (haven't used it for this yet), but for drying, they're absolutely horrible. Get soaked after one panel.

I love these for interior wipe downs. Mist the towel with a healthy dose of ONR (QD dilution), and go to work. I use these also when wiping up compound/polish residue, but not for final polishing as they lint.

Meg's gold class- Minimal sudding but more importantly not much lubricity.
Victorias chaos and mayhem- Not thrilled at the results; One week later no beading or sheeting.

I applied one coat of Mayhem to a customer's car three weeks ago and haven't washed it until yesterday. I beat the hell out of it with a strong foam of CG CWC and then a fairly strong Optimum soap concentration in my bucket wash and it held up great. It was still beading very well on the surface.

Maybe you stripped it with your wash methods? Not sure, as I practically TRIED to strip it and wasn't able to :p

    • Clay Disc for the Polishin’ Pal: Gets torn after the first use.
    • Wolfgang™ Plastik Lens Cleaning System: Waste of money. You get better results using Menzerna polishes.
    • Leather Master Scratch Away: Didn't work for me at all. Maybe I did something wrong.
    • Chemical Guys Sofast Odor Eater. Didn't eliminate anything!
    • Flitz Instant Brass & Copper Tarnish Remover: The only thing it removed was the dust!

Off topic, did anyone notice that DP Universal Detailing Clay and Adam's Clay Bar Grey Professional Grade are exactly the same clay?

Oh the clay myths that could be revealed :p Some people would not be surprised, few would be blown away.

Not according to one detailer in the "Northwest", tried the stuff under every condition possible ie: Porter cable, Griots, Rotary, Festool, and every pad in my arsenal and this product is touted to have as much cut as M105 but finish down like a fine polish...................................................yeah.....right.

Normally if a product is not that good I move on and chalk it up to experience, but this stuff was touted as the "poo" and I toftt and a certain guy just will not come to reality on this(flame war on another site) the truth on any product line will come out in the end.....always does.

CG F2B, Garbage. It runs, drips, its greasy, and smells like gasoline. Terrible product, i don't even use it on budget details.

    Stoners Trim Shine is great!.

Meg's APC. Can't use it if not rinsing afterwards. LEaves a nice chalky white residue. Optimum Power Clean FTW.

Pinnacle Signature Series II. It's amazingly easy & fast to apply & remove but it just didn't seem to make much difference. It didn't look like I had even put anything on the paint.

I've had good results with Wheel Wax, but you do have to put it on thin, and remove quickly.
I use Wheel Wax frequently 'cause I have a tub - about once a month, and in most cases I can just rinse the brake dust off. I'm sure there are better products, but in my experience WW has worked pretty well.

Let's see, over the years I have tried and ended up not liking:
FK - got the sample pack and was not impressed, they were ok at best
Megs clay - the white stuff, hard, didn't pull anything much out of the paint
CG Clay - the purple stuff - see Megs Clay (BTW Clay Magic blue RULES!)
1Z Pro Polishes, stinky and watery - I'll stick to Menz SIP and M105
1Z Glanz Wax - lost a customer after using this on her dark blue Accord, looked that bad - and I offered to re-do her car,
Dodo waxes - I liked Hard Candy but as a whole - they all were not that impressive and sucked in the easy on - easy off department
Lusso Oro - cake of hard wax, smelled good though, but I'm past rubbin my arse off to apply - remove wax
1000P - honestly wamted to just power wash my car with tire clean at the coin wash instead of trying to remove this crap, holy smokes Batman - I DID apply it thin!
Black Fire Tire Shine - sling sh!t city
Wheel Wax - why use this when BFWD is 1000x easier and last longer
Wolf Gang - didn't live up to the hype

Side note, I started off with XMT polishes, I actually like #3 with a PC and orange pad, but it's to pricey and Menz is better.

We traded remember (the Lusso), well I think I know where you went wrong :D

I used it thin, and even if I missed a spot doing panel by panel it was easy to remove.

CG Glossworkz is one of mine- high gloss... low slickness (and by that I mean it has almost none) Now I just use this as an addition to my wash to add gloss.
Crystal Glo car treatment- crap durability and removal

Other than that, I haven't tried any crap in a long time. Research is key :headbang:

I have very long list(years worth of stuff been saving up to talk about)

    I'll start with
Sonax wheel cleaner - spray on dry wheel, let dwell for 5-10 minutes, pressure spray off- still had to go back and brush with more cleaner. Did second wheel with my normal cleaner which worked faster - I'll save my money this cleaner won't clean serious wheels.
Sonax dash clean - cockpit is cheaper for same look but maybe exact performance in cleaning
CG Citrus wash/gloss - film left was really bad to get off "CGCitrus wash n film"
Gold Class - Meguiar wash - spotting, just terrible shampoo for rinsing and spotting
1z glanz wax - no durability and no real good looks.
Adam- In and out spray - too greasey looking on some stuff, didnt go on even. Trim shine from stoner is more consistent to use in tight area
Adam under carrieage - greasy that attract dirt that stuck after first 100m of driving. I dont understand why people buy this.
Meguiar Wheel Brightner - Did nothing that everyone says it does. I risk danger for no extra cleaning.
Stoner invisible glass - streaking no matter what

I have to look in box of products I don't use. Im going to add to this.

I dont think you realize how funny that sounds. But in all seriousness, i know what you are talking about. I was really close to getting that and changed my mind. Glad i did because it seems people arent liking it so much.

And i'll add my list of dislikes soon...

You do realize that you have to agitate Sonus Wheel Cleaner, right?

Regarding the Stoner's IG, you should also buy some glass towels from Phil. I LOVE those, and no problems with streaking. But, I also only use Lusso glass polish. Works awesome.
