As the title says. What do you guys recomend for a new car (white) with no damage. On my last car I used P21S paintwork cleaner to remove some haze around the protective film the car is shipped with, then I used P21S Concours Carnauba wax by hand. That is the best wax I have ever used but I have very limited experience. I am getting Griots Random orbital. Most kits come with theire wax so it would be easy to use that? Also, I wouild like to use something that holds up better and maybe can protect a little better, on the front bumper. Would I use sealant on that?, or? The car is only used 2 or 3 times a month. Thanks in advance. Rich
you should use sealant ether way (sealant is pretty much superwax, id recomend getting either blackfire wet diamond and possibly their wax as well or wolfgang Fuzion but thats gona last you sevel lifetimes of the car, bit pricy, you can try some collonite waxes either 915 or 845 they last about 4-6 month under normal driving condition but since you gona use car very rarely, then it should last longer if its garage kept
White - Zaino * Z2PRO™ * Jeff Werkstatt, * Menzerna PG or *Klasse SG and/ or P21S Carnauba Paste Wax *Synthetics
If the new car is the car in your avatar, try Swissvax Zuffenhausen. Its a little easier to use than the P21s concours. For NO other reason other than if you are a Porsche enthusiast, its just cool to use a wax that is made for it. Its not too expensive and it feels right on the car. Joe D
On white I'd recommend Duragloss 105/111, Gloss it Gloss Finish or Werkstat AJT for a bright finish or Colli 476 for a beautiful warm look.
For Swissvax, call Phil at Detailers Domain. Call him. He will hook you up solid. If you want to go the sealer route, He carries Menzerna Power Lock. I never used it though. JD
As you are in NY, Blackfire can be had from Classic Motoring in Florida ( I carry it but am on the West Coast of Canada ) and try Phil at Detailers Domain for the Swissvax.
My two favorites that I go to time and time again on white are either Collinite 845 or Pinnacle Signature Series II. The first is more of a sealant and has killer durability and ease of use combined with great looks on white while Signature Series II is more of a beauty wax and is a pleasure to use.
how deep are your pockets? Duragloss 601/105 - Collinite 845 Blackfire Wet Diamond/Midnight Sun Menzerna Power Lock/SV Zuffenhausen/SV Glacier or Zymol Glasur...
Thanks all again for your info. It is a little overwhelming with all the different companys to choose from. As the prices go up, in what way do the wax's get better? Using P21S as a starting piont, how is, say Blackfire better for 2X the price? Also, I should use sealant on the whole car? I thought it was one or the other. If so, sealant then wax, or wax then sealant? I really appreciate the help, Rich
Highly suggest you just call Phil at Detailer Domain. He can let you know what he has used on cars of your caliber in the past. He has done cars upwards of GT2 and other Porsche weekend drivers. Since you said it is only used 2-3 times a month, I would think you want the most killer look that upholds well (assuming its garaged the other 95% of the month?) over time. Durability isn't really an issue if it is garaged, so if you want "WOW" effect, Swissvax I think is what you are looking for - easily applied, removed and looks killer. Call Phil He will help wading through all your options. Swissvax starts as low as $95 and goes into the few $k.
any of the pinnacle waxes are xcellent as long as durabilty isnt what ur looking for. these waxes will last 2 to 3 weeks.. but the shine is awesome!!!
Try using the new 3M Performance Finish Put 1 coat on then 24 hrs later put on the 2nd coat. I think you will find the easy instructions to "wipe on then Wipe Off" It bond instantly to new paint The Beading is amazing They claim 6 months but I havent reached 6 months yet. For Older car paint use 3M Perfect It.....Mild cleaners great shine
Take Ken's reco...I did and haven't looked back since. DG501/601/105 and then top with multiple coats of AJT...I LOVE IT. View attachment 1891 View attachment 1892
