i'd go with the glock26 justin. although im not looking to trade mine, sorry. with the right kind of self defense loads, the 9mm packs just as much stopping power as the .40 does, except with the 9mm you get better recoil managements (which means less recoil for faster and more accurate followup shots), its more lightweight, and plus 9mm is more readily available than .40. the G26 IMO is the perfect concealed carry hadngun. when you say the XD9, are you talking about the full size? if so, they're pretty large handguns. just saying, if youre going to be carrying it. my buddy has one and hes like 5'10" and 220lbs, and he has a hard time concealing it properly.
justin, theres a guy on one of the AR15 forums im on that is looking to trade his 26 for a 27 if you're interested. he's in NC i believe.
I would actually talking about the Springfield 9mm Subcompact. It is supposed to be a little bit bigger than the 26. I already have a Glock 26, so now I'm kinda leaning towards a Springfield for something different.
oh ok cool. i thought i remembered you saying you had a 26 already now that i think about it. let me know how you like the XDM if you get one.
here some more gun porn guys. picked up a Glock19 and replaced the rock river tactical grip riser on the AR with magpul BUS.
AR-15 question. Which is better, Daniel Defense or Double Star? I've been bitten recently by the gun bug and I want to start saving for one. After that purchase, I'll start saving for a H&K P2000 DAO pistol in .40. And then after that, I want to get a second Benelli and trick it out. I currently have a first generation Glock which I love, but can't modify in any way (that I know of, at least) and a Benelli M1 Super 90 with ghost ring sights.
sorry i didnt see this sooner! daniel defense is by far much better in my opinion. i doubt many would disagree. lets see some pics of your firearms!
here's a few new shots of my AR. got kinda tired of the "blackrifle" look, so im going with a Flat Dark Earth theme now. im waiting on some aluma-hyde spray paint so i can color match my grip and stock as well. will update once thats done. anyone else get anything new recently?
kinda of. the laws vary state to state. in PA, you dont need a license to OWN a firearm, wether it be handgun or rifle. you just need a clear crimincal record. the gun store will have you fill out paperwork, then call in an FBI background check on you. to carry a concealed handgun on your person though, you need a license, and they're a little more strict about who gets those.
NIIICCCCEEE. what are the specs on the bolt gun? that thing looks wicked fun! hell, what about the ARs too. what are the specs on those? did you build them or buy them?
skurzhun, nice AR's!! What is the length of the one fitted with optics? Is that a silencer you have fitted on the bottom AR? Again, very nice!
Looks like a remington 700 with a fluted barrel?? So late to the party but here is a list of the current collection: Glock 26-mag extension, Hogue grip Taurus 24/7 9mm Kahr CW40 Walther p-22 Kimber ultra carry 45 Remington 742?? 30-06 not sure on the model and I am to lazy to get up and look Ruger 10/22- 2 of these one is pink and not used by me though Winchester 12 and 16 guage Remington 20 gauge Marlin 30-30
Bolt is a Remington 700 LTR 223 Harris Bipod Vortex Viper 4-12X I would have gone 308 but I figured I'm not going to put to it's potential since it's almost solely for range use. So I figured I'd go 223 and share the ammo with my AR. ARs were built. CMMG lower CMMG upper 14.5" carbine, phantom flash hider brings the over all length to 16" to comply with local laws. Bush Master stock Magpul MBUS Magpul PMAG Tasco Red Dot (I went cheap on this I know I shouldn't have.) I'm going to replace it with a Vortex Strike Fire. I'll probably stick the Tasco on the other AR. Stag Arms Lower Spikes Tactical ST-22 upper. Yes it's a 22LR. It's not a real silencer just a fake can. Silencers are illegal in my state. Magpul MOE Stock Black Dog Machine Mag
my friend has a glock 34. its basically a glock 17 with a longer barrel and slide. mainly it is used for range use or competitive shooting. its pretty nice. not something i would want to concealed carry though.
no problem man. actually, the only handguns i do own are glocks, lol. im kind of a "glock snob". i'll try to sound unbiased, but in my opinion glocks are the best ALL AROUND handguns. accurate, priced reasonably, extremely durable and reliable, many different calibers and sizes. as far as looks and feel, some people love how they look and feel (me) and some people hate them, saying their grip angle is weird and they look ugly. im more of a function over form kinda guy, so i could care less how they really look, as long as they perform when i need them to. but like i said, it just so happens i like how glocks look too.
