I need to get some more SIP, but I am wondering if trying out extra fine compound is worth a shot. Things I love about SIP is... it can correct wonderfully! it can finish down with very little holograms!

things I hate about SIP...it is SO STICKY! It almost ALWAYS clumps!

Wondering though, how does the 3M stack up in the correction department as compared to Menz??

    thanks guys!

no, but then again...that is not the cut level I'm aiming for.

SIP and Extra Fine Compound are medium polishes, not compounds.

trust me. go to glossitonline and buy just one little thing of their "Gloss-it 4oz EVP Pad Prime".

when I use SIP, which I use a ton of, I go ahead and spread it out on the paint, then I come back to the pad and I put one little drop of this evp prime (which is a polish lube) and then spread it all over again into the polish and I go to town. you will use have the polish you are use to using, if you are using foam pads and you will finish down better.

also makes the polish last longer on the area you are working on. the polish will not flash on you like it normally does.

    anymore questions please ask

I have both "SIP" and Extra fine cut and I tend to reach for SIP almost all the times, but Extra fine is a great polish. Easy to use, finish down nice but the cut level is not like SIP. But since the cut is not an issue for you, give it a try.

I can sell you a 16 oz bottle? I can also hook you up with some great clay ;-)

So I will mention this again. Have you tried M105? This is an extremely versatile product. You use various pads to adjust it's effectiveness. AND, I bet it will finish better than SIP. If you want to use it as a "medium" polish, use a less aggressive pad, i.e. white, green, etc...

$0.02... Best part is, the M105/M205 twins work very well on a DA machine.

SIP only acts up when the weather is very hot and humid. When that happens, I add a drop or two of either M105 or 203S, depending whether I want more or less cut. It does the trick every time.

:worship2: Tips like this rock my face off, especially when we are coping with the same climate.

Then again, if I start advocating mixing products together (again) I might get yelled at and called a hack. :bla2:
