Hey everyone, I am the owner of the BMW featured in this thread. I just wanted to say thanks to Dave who did an outstanding job bringing my car back from the dead. The exterior was truly hideous, but Dave gave me a great deal on such an intense detail/paint correction. Saved me a lot of money over a full respray of the car. I love the color now. It is a subtle dark blue, but in the right light it pops nicely and the metallic flake looks amazing. I can't believe the transformation. I felt like a little kid waiting for Dave to finish, texting and emailing him all weekend asking for updates. It was tough being without the car for several days but certainly worth it in the end. Bravo Dave and thank you once again!

Amazing work, Dave. I am so impressed that you have the patience to so up to 4 steps when polishing. I get so bored and tired after about 2. I have to play a few games of Call of Duty to make it. The owner picked the right person. Great job.

dramatic 50/50's and wicked reflections .... that's Mr. DSMS to you ... LOL

Seriously Dave. You raise the bar every time you post a new correction, and reminds me how much I don't know about true correction.

    :applause:

Dave, how come you opted to use Iron Cut after Sonax? They seem to do similar things.

Great job as always. I'm floored with how much damage was done to that paint. Man, the new owner had to be disgusted when he saw the real condition of the paint. He's obviously thrilled with your results! Thanks for sharing.

It was cool driving the car to work after it rained this morning. All the water was beading off. I made a fast turn and the car was completely dry and spotless after

    I only wish

The glaze did its job didnt it? Thanks Emile!

In truth the car was perfected after 3 steps, that is defects gone, gloss where I wanted it. Just as a precaution, and since I already invested as much time as I did, I went back again with PO85rd and a finishing pad to ensure there were zero buffer trails left behind and the finish was as leveled as it could be. I was able to knock out that step in 2.5hrs or so as no more correction work was being done.

I had never used my IC yet Kyle so I wanted to try it out. Sonax did an even better job than I anticipated on BMW brakedust but I followed with IC to see if it would budge some of the more stubborn stuff in the barrels, it did not and I did not expect it to. It does also turn red when it comes in contact with iron particles just like Sonax. I need to test that product way more before making decisions on it. Sonax however is golden in my book :worship2:

I just tried the tufbuf black wool and loved it, I never like the LC purple foamed wool but most people love that pad.
