    Hey guys

    Just finished washing my car after 3 weeks of winter grime only to find more random scratches on my doors, bumper etc from passengers shutting my door and general public having a look in

    Having seen the scratch test vid of Aquartz, im thinking about doing a full correction and applying the Aquartz

    For those that have used and tested it, i have a few questions;

    1) I remember reading a thread where (i think it was clever_nickname, but i cant find the thread) repeatedly got hazing/smearing. If this happens to me, can a simple IPA wipedown remove the product and any hazing on the paint?

    2) Will it protect from these random scratches im getting, and also from wash induced swirls?

    3) Given that i like trying new paint cleaners/glazes and wax combo's, will a non-abbrassive paint cleaner remove the Aquartz?

    Mike at Auto Estetica (sp?) can answer better than me but from what I understand, it needs to be removed by an abrasive compound only. It should accomplish what you are looking for in scratch removal although I've heard it takes 7 days to fully cure to that point. I have some and have tried it on my motorcycle and my iphone but not my car yet. I'm on vacation in 2 weeks and plan to do it then.

    To be honest, I had mostly issues regardless of what I tried (was in constant contact with Avi) on my solid black Saab. I got it to work but I only ended up applying it to the bumpers and below the trim line simply because I could not for the life of me get it to work on the rest of the paint.

    I will say this though: it is one of the best trim restorers and protectants I have ever used. Just work it into your rubber/vinyl/plastic trim and it makes it look like new regardless of the condition it was in. 2-3 coats are perfect and it is permanent. After I stopped trying on paint, I went over every square inch of trim and it worked flawlessly leaving a dark, satin finish to the trim.
