I'm really diggin' these. Where did you get yours? I know Griots and Zappos have them. Been scouring e-Bay for a good deal, but they only have elf sizes:waiting:
I use black k-swiss classics. non-slip, look decent, once broke-in super comfortable. and there's only two small vent holes on the inner part of the shoe, so water barely gets in, if at all.
For detailing where I will be polishing or standing for a long time, I tend to go w/ my Asics running shoes. I love my Chuck Taylor's, but years of high school and college wrestling shot my knees to hell. The added cushioning of the running shoes help absorb shock and will guaranty a comfortable pain free day. Gortex lined boots are great for washing, as are Crocs, if you don't mind getting your feet wet.
Hey guys I got mine at Shoemetro.com for $54.99 and free shipping. I think shipping is like $4.99 now though but still about $25 cheaper than Griots. Griots is where I saw them first but I knew if it was at Griots they would be a bit overpriced so I searched and found them at Shoe Metro. That price was the cheapest I could find them anywhere. I love the shoes and they are super comfortable. It's nice not having to change shoes from wash to polishing.
I wear Mizuno wave creation or wave rider when detailing. Both shoes have a nice breathing system that circulates cool air to the feet, plus they are light, and maximum cushioning. To me, Mizuno is the best for everything i need in a running shoe even when they are not used for the gym anymore .
I wear sandals down here. I'm trying to get creative and have it all part of the beach theme. I was thinking about labeling my packages with different suntan lotion SPF strengths, so the lowest would be like 8 and work up to 45 for a full protection package including interior and exterior.
All about Merrell's! They offer great support, waterproof and durable. When constantly working on hard surfaces these shoes give the cushion I need to save my knees!
Whatever I happen to have on at the time..usually a new balance or rebok of some type. Barefoot when I am not very smart.
I love my Chuck's during a detail. soft and flexible. And they look better the more beat up they. And they are the only sneakers i like wearing when i'm rocking out on my drum set. Good pedal feel. And during colder times, I have to go with my timberland boots. wet-socks + cold = death.
Thanks for the link. Was stoked to see the price...but then found out they have the same small sizes as eBay Anyone know of another source?
North Face has shoes similar to Oakley Bottlecaps called the Padda. They are the same concept of a mesh material and bottom drainage. I wear mine when kayaking and when on dive/fishing boats, they give me traction, protection and support while draining water effectively. I haven't tried them for detailing since I usually rock the croc. The North FaceMen'sFootwearMEN'S PADDA II Has anyone suggested Keen shoes?
