Alright so I am in the mist of detailing a car for a friend and I came across something on the rear bumper I have never seen.:shead:

Basically it is on the horizontal portion of the bumper the whole length, it is no where else on the car and are like small pits, I can also catch a nail on them. I would like to know what cause this so I can educate myself and my friend when he picks up the car.

    Any Ideas?

PS... I will be doing a full write up on this car but here is a sneak peak of what the condition of the car is/was :gasp:

Pics are after only the 1st compounding pass HUGE difference!

If those specks are raised, it's possible dirt got trapped under the paint during the painting process. If it's pitted like small craters in the paint, not sure what causes that.

What kinda vehicle is this on? american?

Almost looks like solvent popping. Has that bumper ever been resprayed?

It is a Pontiac GTP 40th anniversary edition, 2004 I think...

    They are like craters...

Not sure if it has been resprayed but I am going to certainly ask.
