I asked BH directly if it is the topper wax for AutoBalm but they told me it was just another durable carnauba wax. It wouldn't top AB as we have been waiting for a long time.
darn, I was hoping it was a topper for autobalm. Still, nice to see more products. thnx for the heads-up.
Very nice! Personally, I am waiting for them to come out with a nicer pot. This pot looks too plain and cheap.
Yes this is not the topper everyone was hopping for but suppose to be a pretty darn durable wax. The spray topper is not in the pipeline anymore as there where issues and put on back burner for now to push out other new stuff. I will prob end up getting it as i do like durable wax's as base for something like Insignis or just on there own.
In lab testing, Finis-wax outlasted Collinite in repeated srubbing with neat detergent (washing up liquid). I'd refer to the pot as understated rather than plain, and purely functional for the purpose. Having had mine dropped by a local detailer when trying it on a car he'd done, I'm just glad it wasn't plastic! Anyway, pictures time...... Bilt Hamber's new carnauba based wax, designed to withstand the rigours of neat detergent longer than Collinite, and with almost the same filling power as Auto-balm. Two day old, unwashed beading results: Click on the images to make them viewable at full resolution, or rather the 2400x1800 max size Webshots has resized them to! YouTube - Finis Wax * The video is not perfect, whatever YT do to encode it messes with the quality somewhat.
If it has the filling of AB and the durability of Collinite this must be the wax I've been looking for. Sure about the filling? Nobody really mentioned this before.
where and when can i get some in the us? already have auto balm, and would like to have some of this also.
Dead easy - apply nice and thinly, leave 10-15 mins (finger-swipe test) then buff. If you notice any dusting, like but not as much as AG SRP, then you've applied it a bit thicker than ideally. Best done on relatively cool panels and shade - otherwise, like AB you need to be a bit restrictive in how much you cover a panel before turning your attention to the removal of it.
