Hey all, I'm looking for a small almost thimble-like tool that can be used to attach small pieces of sandpaper to wet sand touch ups. Anyone have any idea where I can find one online? I'm really unsure what they're called. :shead:

I know I have seen one before in a detailing forum but I'm not sure if it was specific to wet sanding or if it was for some other purpose that was made to work for wet sanding.

Use a three hole punch and punch out sandpaper dots and glue them to the eraser end of a pencil.

I've heard of that method but was hoping for something better, LoL.

3M makes something called a Spot Sanding Pen, but I'm not sure if it's the best thing to use. (meaning I've never done it)

You can buy that sanding pad at Oreilys auto parts for around $30 with 100 sanding disks... I can look up the PN's later...

Great find Angelo! That's definitely something I want to pick up. The pencil idea for smaller touch ups would probably be ideal.

I'm slightly hesitant about the spot sanding pen. It seems it's more for cleaning surfaces rather than actually leveling/smoothing it out. Of course that's just my assumption as I have never used it before. I'll have to go to my local body shop and ask them about it tomorrow.
