111 really is a great product. It is suppose to be a "true sealant", as oppose to 105 which is a sealant/wax(which is also a great, long lasting sealant). That info is from the Duragloss UK rep on detailingworld uk board.

I used 601 first, a layer of 111 and a layer of 105 on a silver paint with impressive results. That was 2 months ago on my car and I'm 100% sure I got a good protection still. Winters in Montreal are really bad: lots of salt, sand and rocks on the roads. Gotta love that peppermint smell too !

I forgot all about 601. When I picked up the 111 at Car Quest, I didn't even think to look for it. As a rule, I'm often skeptical of stuff like "bonding agents" and "polychargers" and stuff like that, but next time I'm at Car Quest, I'll see if they have any. At $8.29/bottle, why not.

    #601 PBA + #111 or #105 will offer more durability ....

I think it's pretty new stock; there wasn't a bit of dust on mine, nor the other three or four they had on the same shelf. They don't carry the entire DG line, so I think they move through their inventory somewhat regularly. It's the big warehouse one on Millbrook Rd.

KARL..use the 601 too..it makes it cure faster and gives longer protection. 111 in an 8oz bottle is 2X's as expensive as 105 yet by the gallon are identically priced. I'm getting a gallon for next summer. Remember too that shipping from DG is a flat $5....best shipping deal around.

I agree, 601 is one heck of a product. The best thing about it is you wipe it on, and it vanishes, eliminating the need to wipe/buff it off...then you simply apply 105 or 111...
    Durability on these is amazing!

I have not seen 601 at any raleigh stores (millbrook, westgate). They never carry 105. There was a very nice napa store with DG and Meg's stuff on atlantic but it closed.

I wonder if they would be able to place a order for it like some places let you do. I know NAPA will let you place orderfor some products they dont have in the store but they carry some of the line.

Why take the risk of old products and wasting time & gas driving around...just order directly.

They do have cheap shipping and are in NC so I would get it in a day. It is on my list of sealants to try out. Right now FK1000P and 845 are my go to sealants. DG will be the next one I try out.

For me, I happened to be in there picking up another bottle of Rain Repel, which they also stock. I've been tempted to try one of the DG sealants that they stock (101 and 111) and finally caved. I'm glad I did. Now that I've got several DG products in regular circulation, though, I'll probably start ordering direct.

111 is an awesome sealant. I just wish they would make it in a larger bottle. It would be my go to if they did..

The latest Duragloss product I've used is #301, Vinyl & Convertible Top Dressing. It's my new favorite for the (vinyl) convertible top on my S2000. I've used a bunch of other stuff on the top:

    • Raggtopp: an excellent product that I liked a lot
    • Vinylex: I like Vinylex a lot for a lot of different things, and it's "pretty good" on a convertible top. Requires a lot of very thorough dry buffing after application, otherwise you'll get some runoff onto your windows
    • 303: similar to Vinylex
    • Meguiar's #40: This is one that I did not like at all on my top. No amount of dry buffing rid me of the slippery feeling it left behind. And, the runoff onto my windows during a rainstorm, or even simply a wash, was unacceptable.

Duragloss 301 behaves much like Raggtopp, in that it looks great, doesn't feel real slippery, and doesn't run down my windows. Only the Duragloss stuff costs a lot less, and can be purchased at my local Car Quest or NAPA. Additionally, I've found that it beads up water like no other convertible top dressing I've used:
