Well, my dad came back and I saw the results. First, one can only lasted me 8 rims, 4 19" rims and 4 16" rims and I thought I sprayed very liberally. When he came back, I noticed there were unprotected spots that brake dust accumulated on. The whole wheel would be pretty much clean, but there would be a small area on the lip of his 3 series caked with brake dust since I didn't cover completely.

I say this product works well, now I just have to test durability. One BIG thing Armor All could do is to not make the spray clear. If it was slightly tinted another color and dried clear, it would help greatly with the application by knowing what areas have been covered. I might try and get a picture of the rims later this week, showing how well it works and what happens when you don't get full coverage.

Not a fan of this product, it only last a couple weeks. It works great for the first little bit though

I tried it and was impressed it kept my wheels clean with the super dusty CarboTech XP pads I run... Down side though was the dust didn't stick to my rims but sprayed down the side of the car... I'll stick to washing the wheels ;) to avoid getting the brake dust down the side of the car...

I haven't even tried this stuff out yet but bought another can at Target. But FYI, some of the bottles have a little green sticker on them for a mail-in rebate for the entire cost of the can! So, essentially a free triai.

EDIT: Doh, you also have to purchase another AA product, minimum $3.49 value in addition to the wheel protectant. Do they even make anything else worth using?

Alrighty. Just applied the stuff. Four 20" wheels and I think I used most of the can:shead:

Love how shiny it made the wheels. I know it'll dull down once it dries. Without it, a thin layer of brake dust will form all over the lips after a few miles of driving. Will report back after I've driven it a bit.

I am very impressed with this stuff. It does what it claims. Though I do not know the durability, it has lasted 2 weeks so far and is still preventing dust buildup.

Audi's brakes dust like crazy. After washing my car I could drive 30 miles and come back with my wheels looking dark gray. After trying out this stuff, my wheels look great minus small spots which I missed during spraying. I agree that a tinted spray would help immensely. All in all, it's a great product that does what it says.

How did it come out man?

Gonna try this stuff out soon. Has anyone tried it over waxed/sealed wheels?

This stuff is still working on the applied areas very well. On the edge of the rim, where I didn't apply as much, brake dust is caked on thicker than ever before.

Perhaps I've been doing something wrong - I've seen almost zero evidence to suggest that this stuff is good for much of anything.

Next time I use this stuff, I'm going to spray some on and spread it around with a clean and dry brush for even coverage.

I stumbled across this board while searching through google for other people's comments on this product. I bought some of this stuff last weekend to hopefully stop my never ending supply of brake dust. I coated the front wheels pretty liberally, and let them sit for 12 hours before driving. After a quick 40 mile drive I still noticed alot of brake dust on the rims. Although not as much as I would normally see. Thinking that I did not apply enough of it, and possibly not covering the entire wheel, I applied another coat (1/2 of the can on both front wheels total so far). I also let this coat set for 12 hours. When I drove into work this morning there was a noticeable coat of brake dust on the rims. I am pretty sure that I am applying it properly, but as of right now it does not seem to be able to repel brake dust. I have seen the videos of others having success with it for brake dust, but for me that is not the case. Just my .02.
