If you truly want a spray wax (as in carnauba) then Optimum is the way to go. If you want a spray on sealant then Aquawax would be the winner. I have both and wouldn't want to be without either one.

To be honest, I haven't noticed a difference. My use is like this: If I am doing an ONR wash, I just wash and dry the vehicle and get my ONR wash out of the way, and then move onto using OCW. If I am doing a regular car wash, I will use OCW while drying the vehicle. I use this system based on this being the fastest for me. Regardless of my process, I haven't noticed a difference in durability.

    +1

I havent noticed any differences in durability . durability isnt really a key factor in spray waxes though since it takes like 10-15 min to do the whole car with osw.Its even faster to apply then a qd imo . i think it may have even added a little depth and slikness if anything when cars wet. I havent seen or heard one thing bad about it so im sure youll like it .

Duragloss aquawax gets my vote, I got a sample from a closer friend who uses some other brand - I will ask if I can remember what the product was - it was like a chicken soup broth color but it was in a little sprayer- super nice look and easy to use. But I alwaysuse DG

I tried a free sample of this stuff and it's truly amazing. I washed the surface, gave it a quick clay and wiped it down so I could start from a debris free surface. My intention was not to do a full correction but to merely test the product.

I sprayed the OSW on a clean Microfiber towel and a little on the painted surfaces then rubbed it in. The product went on very easy and shinned instantly leaving the panel glowing. I couldn't believe how easy it was to apply and buff. The protection was again just as impressive as its application.

I'll give Optimum Spray Wax a big thumbs up!! :thumb:

Start with the finish surface clean and dry. If I could compare I'd say it's much like using a detail spray, it's that easy..

Is optimum spray wax good for use over a Nuba like glasur? Only reason I ask is because I believe it has "polymers" in it as well. I've been wanting to try it but wanted to make sure it would work first.

How do you guys rate AutoGLYM AquaWax? Being in Europe makes it more available for me, £21 for 5 litres, but I can get OCW and Duragloss Aquawax only in spray bottles.

Optimum would be good over a carnauba wax. The great thing about OPT is that its not just simply a maintenance or "booster" type of wax, it was developed as a stand alone wax, so its gonna have good durability and UV protection that surpass the booster spray waxes. OPT spray wax is a great product.

Yes, you can use OCW over a nuba with no problems. I do this quite a bit.

ive got quite a few spray waxes now

my fav would have to be Prima Hydro - adds a little something to the look, adds protection and also hides minor swirls. Before i corrected the paint on my GTR, i went straight to Hydro after the first wash and was amazed at how much dealer swirls and light scratches it covered

this thread made me want to try the Prima Amigo and Hydro after a not-so-good run in with Banana Gloss

next up would have to be OCW - as mentioned above, it does feel like a proper LSP with its beading, looks and protection

I, along with almost everyone else, recommend Optimum Car Wax (OCW)

Having used both, I can say that each has their strengths. OCW has a slightly better look, while Aquawax is slightly easier to use. Both smell great and you can't lose picking one instead of the other.

After ending up with 6 bottles of Aquawax thanks to an AG BOGO not long ago, I've been playing with Aquawax like mad, comparing it to my trusty OCW.

In my experience, AW is better as a drying aid. Both products leave a very slick surface, perhaps giving the nod to OCW. AW is much better on glass, totally streak-free whereas OCW tends to streak and smear, requiring me to follow up the glass with ONR @ QD strength. AW has a brighter and glossier shine, whereas OCW is more neutral and offers nice depth. Overall, AW has better ease of use, but I have to say that OCW so far seems to be noticeably more durable. I can go multiple car washes (2-3 weeks per wash apart) before I start noticing any degradation in the sheeting and beading. AW is durable in its own right but doesn't seem to want to stay strong after the second wash.

Somebody tell me if they feel otherwise, but I now know that both Aquawax and OCW are stayinng on my shelf in gallon form from now on. :)
