Matte Finishes/Swissvax Opaque

Hey Guys,

So I will be doing a few cars with Matte finishes in both vinyl and paint. I was just wanting to see how Swissvax Opaque is with both vinyl and paint. How is the application method and what else is necessary when working with something like that. I will be using Riccardo Clay and ONR as lubricant. If anybody has any experience with using opaque or protecting Matte finishes please let me know what method/products work best!

I have used Insignis which can be used on matte and works great, deepend the black on the vinyl but still looked matte as original. I also found Opti-Seal to work. Really only need the wax if you going to go opaque route as I would not use CF.

 

Thanks! I want the safest product to use on Matte paint work as some of the cars I'm dealing with will be exotics to high end exotics. Not all paint work I'll be dealing with will be black though, some Matte White, other Matte Grey, and the list goes on. Thanks for the help! So I take it Opaque is safe for both vinyl and paint?

 

there are some certain products from swissvax for matte finish...they surely have opaque wax, quick finish. two i know

 

oh ya, one good thing about opaque is it's doesn't leave shiny, greasy finish..it just leaves matte one, as it's supposed to be

I have used Collinite 476s on matte paint before and it did not alter the appearance of the paint in the slightest way. In fact, I remember a thread on DW where a number of the pros said they used 476s on matte paint and it was just as durable and did not change the look of the matte surface.

Yeah it didnt change the finish at all when I did my Reventon with it the other night. It just protected it. I would go out in the garage and double check it for you but I am certain there is no Reventon out there. I was dreaming..
I am sure that the Opaque will do exactly what SV says it will do. However, I would check with what the manufacturer suggests you use. I read somewhere that Lotus recommends Armor all on their matte finishes. Maybe there is a reason to use a specific product.

yes..i have used it couple of time....application method is the same, use applicator pad and spread it thin..leave it for 15-20 minutes and easily buffed off.

i ll try to find the picts, hopefully there is one showing the beading, since my comp hd crashed...beading is almost like saphir...
