wow. looking good as always. Excellent work. The interior on those vehicles is just pure crazy. Nice color and nice material. Looks hard to clean if it ever got dirty.

    Very nice. Great work.

So many of the pics out here are of nice cars that have been neglected before they are brought in for a rebirth. This is one where it looks like the owner appreciates and respects his/her ride.

In the pictures I am all business but in truth I really enjoyed working on this car, I just love porsches and havent got a chance to see a new GT3 in person yet so it was fun.

This car had the Sharkwerks exhaust bypass on it, sounded just awesome!

    Glad you enjoyed Ken!

Griots is more powerful with more low speed torque, quality machine.

Thanks Tom, see you on the 24th!

Very nice detail David. Must say you get a lot done in just 20hrs.. respect.

clear film can be a real pain to polish, and it's a good thing you just DA.. Rotary with compound with some degree of cut will just blast straight through that.

    Great post !!

I'm sure you've worked on many cars, so have a question to you about overall paint quality - specially wondering between Ferrari - Porsche - Aston Martin.
I know the Aston have a very soft paint and very susceptible to swirls and scratches.

    Any input would be valued.

    Thanks

Of the 3 I would say modern Ferrari clears are the hardest to cut out defects, followed next by Aston and then Porsche.

As for astons having soft paint I dont believe thats the case, I havent done many but the 08's and up I have done have pretty hard paint with severe factory defects which take serious compounding to remove... and the artificial compounding haze left behind isnt terrible and you can finish down in 2 more steps, if it was as soft as you say I would probably need a 3 step after compounding to get everything to finish down haze free.

Porsche are a bit easier to polish out BUUUT, like on this particular GT3, I had a few issues with the grabby paint when using rotary, most porsches I have done have this problem when you rotary correct them.

    Did this answer your questions?

    Yes - Appreciate it!

It must be some of the earlier versions of Aston's (06 to 07) that had soft paints.
