I am trying to get a few product selections ironed out for a friend I am doing a little detailing on. I need a few suggestions for a wax for a mostly black car and his motor cycle, a leather cleaner/conditioner, and a alum/chrome polish. I was planning on getting the leatherique set and I am undecided on the other sets. I prefer to order all from the same place.

The leatherique is just being purchased from the manufacturer, so now i need to find the wax and metal polish. I was looking at dodo waxes are those any good? last time I was on the detailing kick dodo was not really available here.

    Optimum metal polish is nice.

For wax, get Trade Secret or Wet Obsession :)

I think your car has (urathene) protected leather, are you sure you want to spend that much on Leatherequi as its made for (un-protected) Aniline...just a thought.

If you want to go with Menz and a polymer sealent DD has a great deal on right now

Regardless of the whole coated vs. uncoated leather product debate, I just used Leatherique for my yearly interior overhaul on the coated leather of my parent's Lexus RX400 and LS430 as well as my 1996 Saab and the leather was tangibly softer even after only letting it soak for 3-4 hours each. I personally think that Leatherique is well worth the effort and cost to use as an annual rejuvenation. I use 303 Aerospace Protectant every month or so just to dress the seats and keep them protected.

As far as waxes are concerned, is your car more of a garage queen or a daily driver? I would use a good sealant such as Menzerna Power Lock or Collinite 845 topped by a beauty wax. Personally, I have a black car and my dad's car is black so I have tried too many waxes for my own good haha and my favorite has to be Lusso Oro. It looks stunning on black, is a joy to use, and is pretty cheap considering that it rivals some of my waxes that are over $200.

I kinda doubt the leather is coated on his 96 xj12, his 03 gmc pickup and his motorcycle. Also the weather down here is hell on leather and it is almost necessary to do it every few months.

I was kinda looking at buying zymol carbon from denzil. Is it any good? or is anything else in there specifically good? cause I am considering buying a few things from him.
